The party of Trump is that of voter suppression and the home of white nationalism. Just what do the Republicans have to offer African Americans?

Kanye West suffers from bipolar manic depression who has changed his views on Trump more than once. Hardly an example of an individual that represents most black Americans.

The real answer, for what it is worth, is that the poll was conducted by Zogby International, described by FiveThirtyEight as “the worst pollster in the world”. Zogby’s polls do not use random sampling, which is absolutely essential. Instead they’re taken by volunteers online. These polls have a long history of bizarre results, which are readily available for your amusement.

The Zogby Poll gives Trump an approval rating of 52% and a 47% disapproval (+5%). FiveThirtyEight’s average gives him 43.4% approval and 52.4% disapproval (-9%). So it overestimates Trump by around 15%.

Zogby lists his own margin for error on the “all likely voters” poll at 3.3%. The margin for error on his race-based polls is 5.0-5.2%. If again he’s underestimating his error by five times then that would put these figures in line with the real pollsters.

For example, YouGov’s latest poll showed 79% of black voters slightly or strongly disapprove of Trump’s handling of the presidency (66% strongly) with only 14% approving. There is a lot of noise and uncertainty in these polls so I would always recommend taking an average instead and not hyper focusing on any given day.

My point was more that he's a prominent figure who probably has the ear of many african-americans, not that he himself is representative of the average african-american.

The poll also showed 23% of Democrats approve of Trump.

I think everyone - black or white - knows Kanye is crazier than a $hithouse rat. I doubt anyone is going to take him seriously.

Even if that's true, probably as many or more Republicans and former Republicans have joined the ranks of the Never Trumpers. So that alone counters that 23%.

I barely knew who the guy was and somehow knew from the beginning that his whole campaign was a joke.

And that is a correct assessment.

I don't actually love communism, I'm bipolar and was nearing another breakdown when I made that topic. Although I don't think all of communism's ideology is as horrible as people in the US say. Most idiots in this country can't even tell the difference between being communist and being fascist, and I don't know where in the holy f*****g hell did they ling liberalism to something as oppressive as communism.

I blame that lousy American education and Faux News for misleading so many Americans on this.

Communism is not fascism—but real-life Communist/Socialist governments are often fascistic.

Trotsky wanted pure Marxism but Lenin didn't think it would work,so elements of capitalism were implemented.Then Stalin with his do as I say or die mentality infused some fascism in the mix and killed Trotsky in Mexico in 1940.

You notice it was the "Union of Soviet Socialist Republics" not the "Union of Soviet Communist Republics"
