I'm impressed by America's youngest Poet Laureate.

I think Biden did alright. I really can't find fault with his speech.

Threw fits on Twitter. Twitter put a stop to that. But, I agree. If Biden should Tweet, I'm sure it will be far less common and in a much more professional capacity.

What are people's opinions about President Joseph Biden's Inaugural Address?

I found it simple, to the point, and inspiring. Not a great oration----but great oratory certain isn't needed now.

I put it in here, rather than in "News" because the expression of political opinion is inevitable.

I never had a problem with Joe.
I even defended him against people saying he was creepy.
I saw him simply as an older man who grew up in a time with older social values. 8)

I like how his administration is working at strengthing alliances against the threat of China*s* aggression.
He gets the thumbs up, from me. :thumright:

The best part of this speech, in my opinion:

"We must end this uncivil war that pits red against blue, rural versus urban, conservative versus liberal. We can do this if we open our souls instead of hardening our hearts if we show a little tolerance and humility and if we are willing to stand in the other person’s shoes as my mom would say, just for a moment stand in their shoes because here’s the thing about life, there’s no accounting for what fate will deal you."

I hope this proves true. I hope America can heal.

I hope some people on WP will stop with the hate and start with the mending. 8)

No. Thank you, Biden, for actually wanting to try. You're not perfect, but you're way better than Trump, and that's what America needs right now.

Agreed.
The anyone but trump party won.

I like Obama’s oratory.

He’s okay, not my hero. A typical politician. Not Trump!
