Well as for being masterfully ignorant, masterfully ignorant people are still caught in their crimes though. Richard Nixon, Bill Clinton, and Jeffrey Epstein for example, all thought they could get away with it and were ignorant but they were still caught. So just because Trump is ignorant, ignorance doesn't enable you to escape consequence if you are guilty as those other examples were still caught. So it can't be ignorance that works for Trump then. He is either not guilty of the crimes, or is is truly a mastermind.

Some are caught, some are not, some are guilty but just haven't been caught yet.

Trump's biggest selling point is his confidence, there are many people who LIKE being led, and he is so full of himself that a lot of people believe it and think he is a natural born leader.

Unfortunately that's also his biggest weakness, as he thinks he automatically knows more than everyone else and cannot be wrong. He gets childishly aggressive when his lies, mistakes and contradictions are pointed out.

I don't think he is a mastermind, but nor do I think he is dumb. He's very good at stirring people up and manipulating them for his own benefit, so there's clearly some intelligence there. Sometimes that involves him playing dumb but that's a deliberate, calculated act - his apparent lack of care, insight, awareness etc. is an intelligent choice. He's very good at "playing the game" politically, he wouldn't have become President otherwise. Unfortunately he's also self-obsessed and that makes him vulnerable. That's not the same thing as being totally stupid, though.

Trump had been caught, but in both impeachment trials the Republicans put President and party over country and constitution and exonerated him, despite overwhelming evidence.

Oh okay, but in the first impeachment though, did they find any proof that he conspired with other governments?

That Wasn't A 'Technical Part' of the Two Articles of Impeachment, in the First Impeachment.

"The first impeachment of Donald Trump occurred when Donald Trump, the 45th president of the United States, was impeached by the House of Representatives of the 116th United States Congress on December 18, 2019. The House adopted two articles of impeachment against Trump: abuse of power and obstruction of Congress. The Senate acquitted Trump of these charges on February 5, 2020.[2]"

Oh okay, but I thought were talking about his crimes and him getting away with them. If the impeachments do not have anything to do with that, then are they related him to him being a mastermind that has gotten away with these crimes?

They did - - which the senate Republicans refused to even listen to any of it and just voted innocent.

The Investigations Are in Progress. Again, the Wheels of Justice Turn Slowly...

Yet They Do Continue to Turn Toward the Eventuality of Justice for Trump's Crimes...

Chances Are it Will Be Related to Tax Law, And Fraud... Part of His Desperation to Stay in office....

States Are Coming After Him Now....

I think that ex-President Trump and his lead strategist Steve Bannon are very clever in a number of ways.
Certainly both men are extremely wealthy, and have enjoyed power and fame all their lives.

Both have kept money that they inherited rather than simply squandered it and both have managed to make
much more than they started with.

So, both these guys are without a doubt very successful business men.
Being successful in business however does not always make a person a good politician.
Although I guess that will depend on your opinion as to what makes a good politician and what makes a good president.

I personally am an idealist and personally see the role of president being a selfless position, which should be reserved for only selfless but worldly wise and intelligent men, ideally with experience in business.

But i am an idealist, and the truth is, most people who aspire towards such high positions do so because of what
such positions offer to the individual in terms of material gain.

Although not all materialistic business men are all bad, many men can balance self interest with country interest etc.
I think that President Trump perhaps tried to do a good job, but also was affected by his own personal life and the continual fight between opposing parties and countries.

I personally am more sided with those who help the poor, it is just how i am.
Perhaps because i was not born of privilege, grow up among the working and middle classes,
so understand what life is like from the lower rungs, rather than voting with the cream of society,
which i have little experience of.

I don't know about Bannon, but Trump has done badly in business. His inheritance would be worth more now if he'd just banked it and kept the interest.

Instead he is worth a lot of money in theory but has debts coming due and not much liquidity:

Trump debt

It's not clear to what extent he accepts this, and to what extent he's in narcissistic denial. The desperate rush to divert funds from the It's Not Fair! legal fund into other areas more likely to benefit him personally, is perhaps an indication that he DOES know it very well indeed.

Trump isn't just a lousy businessman, he's also such a swindler that he took loans that he never repaid. So much so, no reputable loaner would give him any more money when he bankrupted himself. That's why he accepted help from Deutsche Bank, and it's shady ties with the Kremlin and all the Russian oligarchs tied to their government. Since, Putin's been Trump's benefactor - - and controller - - while Trump's been Putin's b*tch.

The book "Too Much and Never Enough" by Mary L. Trump is a pretty good read and explains much about Trump and his behavior.

Must mean a mastermind at failing businesses?
I mean, it takes something really special to bankrupt: Trump Taj Mahal, Trump Castle Hotel and Casino, Trump Plaza Casino, Trump Plaza Hotel, Trump Hotels and Casino Resorts (three casinos), Trump Entertainment Resorts (another casino holding company).
Not to mention the other failures - Trump University, Trump Airlines, Trump Vodka, Trump Steak etc etc.
