Many Evangelical, Fundamentalist Christians are pro-life only until the baby is born. After that, the life of the child is solely the parents' responsibility up to the age of 18 (21 in some states), no matter how poor or disabled the parents may be. After that, the State, through its law-enforcement officers, can terminate the person's life without demonstrating justifiable cause. All due to the "Devil's Contract" between the Religious Right and the Political Right -- Republican lawmakers promote repressive religious doctrine through the laws they enact in exchange for "Christian" votes.
And some people still wonder why I hate mixing religion and politics.
