Buttholes, all!
You seem to be implying that anyone on the right is automatically a Nazi. What explanation are you looking for? It's like asking, "How will those on the left defend Antifa burning down a public building?" I don't think anyone's political persuasion means they automatically support radical violence and destruction.
I didn't notice the OP using the word "Nazi" anywhere in this post. "Butthole" =/= "Nazi".
I find it easy to "read between the lines".
Remember the recent history, on this forum, where the mob chanted "all Republicans are fascist".
Shameful, but it did happen.
"Lest we forget."
There was zero chance of changing the electoral decision, hence, no "Putsch".
It was a protest that went violent, as did the BLM one.
And it wasn't as destructive by a long shot.
May I suggest you Google "political spin"?

"WP right" =/= the entire right. I don't get involved in political discussions often, but it does seem that there are a few right-leaning WP members that attempt to somehow downplay and justify these things. Someone pointing that out doesn't mean the entirety of the right are neo-Nazis, just that there is a pattern of right-leaning people on WP defending the actions of neo-Nazis.
Easy to say.
Difficult to prove, from what I can see.
Please note that there is no evidence of any moderates or right-wingers defending anyone brandishing the Nazi flag as a political statement.
Your reasoning doesn't apply, in this instant at least, and I suspect it is erroneous in most situations on the website in recent history.
For some, simply not being a card-carrying progressive equates to being a fascist.
Clearly, this is hyperpartisan nonsense.
Please choose your wording more carefully, in future.
The skunk has spoken.
Connect some dots.
Some are incapable.
*I* am not "some".

Although it's quite true that most right-wing people are not Nazis, there is a real phenomenon occurring whereby events in today's US compellingly recall events in 1920's Germany, that eventually led to the Nazi Party later seizing power. So you can't blame many Americans for feeling as though they face a future under a 21st Century version of Nazism. The next time you read something that appears to you as a naïve false equivalence between respectable right-wing opinion and Nazism, please think about what may have led the writer to draw that conclusion. Consider that the Republican Party is the Leading Party in the US, that White Americans are the dominant group and the vast majority are Republican, and that only a tiny fraction of Republican politicians have spoken out against the January 6 "Putsch" — and you might understand why a lot of people are angry and afraid.
Thank you.
"Groupthink" is a powerful thang.
Link up some posts. Show me what you're talking about. The implication after posting a link about neo-Nazis and then saying one yearns for the WP right to defend them seemingly suggests the OP feels the WP right all support fringe terrorism. I don't think most people support fringe terrorism regardless of political affiliation on or off this site.
While either side can be guilty of creating straw man arguments, I have noticed it is those on the left who excel.
I suspect hay is cheap in the blue states.
Does the UK have "blue states" also?
To those who make such outlandish statements, please provide evidence.
Before this thread devolves into personal attacks again, this is a global problem throughout the western world.
Recent 60min expose in Australia currently screening suggest there may be 10s of thousands who subscribe to groups like this and are classified as domestic terrorists by our police
According to the ASIO spokesperson in the interview > 50% of anti-terrorism resources are now allocated toward domestic neo-Nazis radicalised and active in the community. The group under investigation only represent one group as the majority operate communicating using encrypted boards (he quoted 97% are flying under the radar).
As with the US neo-Nazi groups they are buying properties and weapons and organising for attacks on civilians, The COVID19 outbreak has emboldened and mobilised them.
This seems to be about insecure masculinity.

That's probably the main component of it.
It doesn't explain the women who gravitate towards those circles though.

The first three are stupid but mostly harmless. It's not rocket science that even most left-wing whites subconsciously have a preference for their own "race" despite not making it public. That's a personal choice and nobody should dictate who you want to f**k.
I have a problem with the last one. Why? because it seems to give those who believe in racial superiority an excuse to discriminate and worse inflict physical violence on innocent people caught in the wrong place at the wrong time.

That is an element.

There had been zero chance of Hitler taking over the German state of Bavaria from a beerhall, either, but a putsch it still was. Like Hitler in that beerhall, though, that army of lunatics on January 6th thought taking the reigns of government was possible, as insane as the idea was.

Well, I haven't studied Hitler and his antics, but I believe he wanted a revolution.
I seriously doubt that was the case on the 6th.
It was a protest that became violent, not a revolution.

Everyone present on the 6th said they were there to reverse the election results. Sounds like an attempted revolution to me.

Surely you must be using hyperbole.
I hope you aren't misrepresenting the situation.
With the benefit of having access to non-left-wing hyperpartisan news reports, I can assure you that there were mums and dads who were there just to register a complaint about the voting system, a voting system that desperately needs reform.
Do you believe, as has been reported in the news, that the coloured community is incapable of obtaining an identity card?
If so, isn't that more than a little condescending?
Give what I have said some consideration, my Teutonic friend.
And yes, if you have a German background, you get additional brownie points.

No. If they weren't there to force congress to change the election results - particularly with signs reading: "stop the steal," and invading both houses of congress to intimidate the members with violence - I can't think of what else they were there for.
I never said that minority voters couldn't get IDs to vote, but that red state municipal and state governments have made it that much harder by shutting down government offices where such IDs could be gotten.
