The stereotypical Ackchyually American

Mass deprivation - well, we do have all kinds of deprivation and poverty in the west as well, but the moment you enter a developing country, it gets really bleak. And it's not like the west could do without their labour and labour force.
And then the West exports its garbage to developing countries, because we don't want to ruin our landscapes with landfills.
Our corporations are making good use of corrupt governments in developing nations and medieval beliefs there to externalize environmental damages.
No, we are different from the Soviet Union, but if better or worse depends heavily on where you're born, and who you want to blame.

This sounds like something George Soros would say, to undermine the Western society and get money for doing so.
Why should the Third World countries get away with everything, while the West is held to a higher standard?! (Funny how "Third World" includes China and India, who use America as proverbial toilet paper!) That's like parents who abuse their docile kid while demanding utmost obedience from him, and pretending to be sorry for being too harsh; all while allowing a violent kid, who'd strangle a puppy to death and laugh while doing it, to get away with it without consequences, if not out right praising him for it, because "it's just kids being kids".

Stalin's communism and American Democrats' communism are nothing similar, and only idiots would conflate the two. American Democrat communists sponsored and supported domestic terrorists like Antifa, who caused 2 billion dollars in property damage and killed hundreds of police officers, in the summer of 2020 alone. If such looting and arson started under Stalin communists, there'd be tanks and machine gun humvees rolling through the streets, with snow plows and garbage trucks rolling behind them, collecting the "evidence". The "mostly peaceful protests"
Antifa going mostly unchallenged in a general sense, whilst committing heinous acts, wearing black military gear, causing chaos, whilst claiming they were/are fighting an all powerful fascism.
If there really were the fascism they were talking about that really existed, their silly antifa heads would be rolling down the streets very quickly, wouldn't they?
Yet they was no rolling of heads. Antifa were always the bad guys.

Anti-western? you must get a good dose of indoctrination from whoever you are reading.

China got thoroughly screwed by the West in the 19th century, India for several centuries(!) leading up to that.
China is now tearing itself up to never get colonized again, but I don't think it's sustainable.
Now how is India using America as toilet paper?
I've been to both countries, in India for some time, for work. I've never seen such poverty. I've never before seen people have so little, not even a shred of respect by theor society, so they sleep on the roadside, centimeters from truckbtires rolling by.
I'm not sure what your image of India and China really is or where it comes from, but I've spent years reading history to help me understand how this can be happening.

.
.
Since the thread is about the "typical" American and you are comparing Americans with the "typical" Indian or Chinese, it's worth noting that
a) the typical Indian or Chinese isn't actually living in poverty. Most have access to a home, electricity, water etc....
b) the typical American isn't that different as you imagine, most see homeless and poor/unemployed people on their streets and don't give a "shred" of respect for them either.
I'm sure you will give examples of Indians defecating in streets or the piles of garbage or the volume of people living in slums (all are valid differences) but in terms of human nature we aren't all that different.

No, the west isn't so different. In addition to the environment and climate issues you mentioned, we are also very good at not spending money on maintaining our roads, railways etc, hospitals are downgraded, and this winter has seen significant issues with electric power here in Europe, just to mention some things.
It just takes a bit longer for us to reach the standard of commie nations, but sadly it seems we're getting there little by little, and in the mean time we're chopping off the branch we're sitting on (metaphorically).
IMO none of the main ways (communism, capitalism, theocracy) have been a success. I don't know what would work but that doesn't change the fact that these don't
Democratic Socialism and UBI(universal basic income) are both things that could help. At least in my opinion but I doubt everyone agrees.

Says the guy who can't make it one paragraph without repeating a blatant falsehood. Remember, I live in one of the most progressive places in the US, I don't need to read anything to get a sense of these people and what they stand for, I can just walk outside and talk to them.

Well, students can live in halls in my country with other students, sharing facilities such as a bathroom & also a kitchen.
Also, there are plenty of disabled people on this website most likely, who live in care homes & virtue signal/subscribe to wokeology & chat silliness.

Who are you labelling "anti-western", I'm honestly curious.
Academic leftists specifically, and their progressive progeny more broadly.
I work in the higher education sector and I'm sorry to break it to you but 99% of academic leftists only pay lip service to leftist causes. They live in double story houses in expensive leafy suburbs, send their kids to expensive private schools, drive BMWs, drink expensive wines, fly business class. They inexorably tied to "westernism" more strongly than a rural redneck who votes for Trump.

Then they aren't "stereotypical" are they

Oh, I meant stereotypical from their perspective.
You are correct. They are very typical/common.

Yep - most leftists simply pay lip service, in the education sector, at least. It is a sad situation because there are naive folk who will believe anything they are fed, from anyone they take an interest in, without the sufficient critical thinking skills to come to their own conclusions.
Think what you want to think about anything, regardless of media influencers, but don't copy other people. That's what education teaches & is ultimately what life is about, for me.
