Suppose the Dollar, Pound, or Euro became worth 50 cents or pence (or less) within a week?
The Ruble was about 70 rubles to the dollar when the war started; now it's about 150 rubles to the dollar.
Imagine if a 20 ounce bottle of soda became $4.00, instead of $2.00, within a week?
This is happening here, too - and authoritharians love to blame the evil West on it, especially when they have a pre-propaganded society and full control on media.
The more important aspect is - to continue a war, you need money and technology. As the blietzgrieg attempt failed, resources start to matter a lot.
