if im not mistaken the bible never talks about lesbians, only homosexuals. are they using the term "homosexual" for both men and women, or does it only apply to males?

Na, it's all covered:

"Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator—who is forever praised. Amen.
Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones. In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion" (Romans 1:24-27).

Every Christian thinks some other Christian is a hypocrite. Maybe we are all hypocrites, but I don't think that makes our central beliefs less valid.

The quoted post is 100% correct. Even the "we are all hypocrites" part. But that is not limited to Christians. I've actually announced to peers that I'm a hypocrite, in the course of my explaining that everyone is. To not be a hypocrite, every decision in your entire life from start to finish has to be logically consistent. I haven't been keeping tabs, but it's safe to say that ain't me.

Yep. And this is why the Cathar's saw any
sex as impure.

It was also a rejection of Roman culture that was happening as the empire crumbled.

Yeah. Jesus seems a pretty rad

got hold of him. :P

I know.....
Bummer, huh??

I don't remember him condemning
gays though.

Well, he did cite God's righteous fire-from-Heaven judgment and total destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah, where gays were running wild.

We're talking about near the very beginning of the Empire.
They got all religious, in order to wreck it.

No, we're talking the oldest stuff from the NT
here. Paul's writings. I see mid 50's as the
accepted date.

He's God. Not only can he, he can get his
sheep to believe that 'twas right to do so.

1. Let's say there are some evil men. (Use your imagination.)
2. Let's say God is wholly good.

Is it wrong for a wholly-good God to kill the evil men*. (Remember: in my scenario, the evil is a given, as is the goodness of God. You have to assume both in order to answer the question properly.)
