Can you blame Atheism for anything?
My hypothesis, is that religion was created by the controllers because humans went around being lawless savages and they had to get in line. Hence the original sin motif. But I think its a low effort motif, I don't really believe there is original sin, imo most people are born pure and then the world makes them bad.
Reincarnation seems mathematically the most likely outcome. Both atheists and semetic religions both have the same effect of not believing in reincarnation. Lack of belief in reincarnation can have several seriously detrimental effects to society.
Another hypothesis is that religion is half-true, sort of like how there was a real Santa Claus but the story is embellished and exaggerated to become more fiction than fact. Maybe Jesus actually existed but what they aren't telling you is that the gods are a high tech alien race and he just used some kind of science gizmo to create bread loaves.
I’ve actually had this thought. I’ve noticed a fair amount of atheists believe/want to believe in reincarnation, since religions that don’t believe in reincarnation (religions of the book for the most part) believe in some form of afterlife. But if you do not follow those religions then the thought of nothing after death is quite terrifying, so reincarnation is the next best thing (since its more of a spiritual belief that a religious one).
But what I have to ask is if reincarnation is real, then why value the life I have right now? I’ve been on-and-off passively suicidal for years now and one of my grounding forces is my belief that this is the only life I have. It’s a daunting thought, but for me it makes things all the more impactful. Why not just restart again? Why should I try and salvage my life and live the best I can if I can just hope the next life will have better circumstances?
(The Hindu caste system is actually an answer to these questions, that if one lives a good and fulfilling life according to Hindu tradition then they have the chance to climb the caste in the next life until they reach nirvana, but then samsara is obtained and the reincarnation cycle is stopped. Even then nirvana is a form of afterlife. But I don’t know how popular these beliefs are to atheists and the rigid caste system is generally disliked amongst westerners, myself included.)

Most people are cowards. What they should actually be afraid of is having to reincarnate into some dystopian galaxy.
If the atheists who believe in no afterlife are correct (which they are not) then that would be quite liberating. Buddha tried their whole life to escape reincarnation, so they'd be puzzled why someone would prefer that.
Life in a dystopia is like a bunch of yeast fungus, they don't know why they are formed, they just cling on to life not knowing why they are here, they reproduce just to spread their suffering.
Chances are when you die you will lose all your data, weapons, status and equipment. You might as well just stay alive because the alternative would be respawning as a low level, having to be obedient in society, having to obey the Indoctrination.
There is no strong scientific evidence supporting the Caste system. Though it makes sense that you would likely reincarnate into someone with similar genetics. I personally believe the caste system should be dismantled unless there is strong scientific evidence proving it does more good than harm.

A couple of points:
Minor point: This is not a sentence. All us English speakers heard early in our elementary education: "A sentence expresses a complete thought." This is just an adjective and a noun.
Why is that a problem? It leaves the reader to infer what you might be meaning.
Major point: The Soviet system, and indeed, the other major systems that label themselves "Communist" claim to be atheist. They are not. They enshrine the State, or worse, the Leader, in the place of a god. Any act against the State, any thought against the Leader, and you are fair game for whatever retribution it / they sees/see fit to mete out.
Many persons think with a sufficient lack of care such that they don't see the function of the State or Leader as the absolute Authority of What Is Right, which role they serve in all contemporary "Communist" societies. The secular entity serves the same role as the god of religious societies. These totalitarian societies are not "atheistic", any more than they are "Communist" [which any person reasonably informed about the history of ideas knows they are not.].
The problem, clearly, is having any entity acknowledged as the Absolute Authority of What Is Right. At least you don't get sent to the Judeo-Christian God's Gulag until after death.
