I think if I were in that situation I would have paid like he asked. He could have just walked out without giving his money to anybody but he didn't, instead he trusted you to give them his money, and he may have genuinely been in a hurry. By pocketing the money yourself you basically let him steal, then you basically stole off him too. I always prefer to help people when I can.

Nothing against you, I was just giving my humble opinion.

You're a good person Joe.

I'm also thinking that if was in a hurry he could have easily asked to jump the queue or just gone to the front and gave the money to the cashier instead of giving it to me.

There are so many options he had.

The bread rolls were up there amongst some of the best I've ever had. So soft and light. Plus they had the added bonus of being pre sliced.

Sorry, it's on-par with certain noises. It triggers the same part of my brain as misophonia and it's physically painful, even just to catch it as I skim.

I wouldn't have mentioned it if I could just put a piece of tape over it and not see it anymore, but no, that's not an option.

Yes, that's true.

And thanks, you're a good person too. :)

Yes, I'm grateful. I'm sorry for drawing attention to it, I didn't mean to make you feel like you're being graded.

Don't apologise. No offence taken. I doubt it'll be the last time I'll be corrected on my spelling.

You'd end up going nuts if you lived with my GF, maybe that's why I don't find it an issue as I've had to read misspelled words for over 2 and half decades, even autocorrect has difficulties with her writing  . I would post one of her shopping lists that she'd handwritten, but I don't want to cause you physical pain.
