UK passes law to send asylum seekers to Rwanda

Funny how this problem seems to have got worse since we left the EU..
In my opinion the EU should be processing these peoples claims for asylum as soon as they enter the bloc and allocate them pro rata to a desination country based on its population. Those whose claims are refused should be refused entry. No need for expensive hotels or flights to some random African country.

Agree fully with this. Genuine asylum seekers fleeing persecution should immediately be given reasonable accommodation and some degree of finances the moment they enter a safe country and then resettled in whatever country has sufficient room.
What I don't like are boats consisting of 90% men between the ages of 18 to 40 who are "fleeing" persecution but also forgot their ID and family in the process while "accidentally" travelling through 5 safe European countries in the process. It's OK to be unwelcoming to those people because they only come to the UK to fleece the tax payers.
Its weird how in WW2, people seeking asylum consisted if a mix of ages and 50/50 male/female which coincidentally resembles the ratios of an actual displaced population.
