I thought it was going to be 3rd June. Any way to know why it is sooner?

1988. I had a hair style just like the Beatles back then, because I loved them, watching their first two movies and having most of their vynil records.

iamnotaparakeet: Aw, pretty. :) Cockatiels are also popular pets in Australia and I've seen several different colour variations including some that are mostly white.

I also wonder if you could settle a question I have. Some people told me a few months ago that birds couldn't talk but I said they could. They acted as if I were a total moron for even suggesting they did. I have personal experience of a talking crow and talking parrots, budgies, and cockatoos and since cockatiels are relatives of these birds (apart from the crow), they could probably talk.

My birds don't speak English, but they have their own language; at least they have multi purpose words.

WeeOugh! is a greeting and the response is usualy Wheet!

Quiel! is usualy a cry of alarm.

Whree! is usually what they say when they want out of their cage when I or my family comes home.

If Pavi wants to get my attention she says Tserwi! which is also what Caso calls Patty. It either means "friend" or "love".

Whurp!? is usually meaning "what are you doing and why?"

These are just some of the words I notice they use, but they also have a few which writing would do no justice, usually used in their songs which they sing to each other as well as songs for when the sun first comes out. (such as in the morning or after a bad storm is over.)

The universe is at least as old as the light from the oldest object. The oldest light is at least 10 billion years.

The bible saying that God created Heaven and Earth must be taken metaphorically or symbolically, as all creation myths are regarded. In the context of the time thousands of years ago, without telescopes and instruments and so forth, it was a useful explanation of people's existence.

However, in Hinduism a day (and one day only!) of Brahma is 4,320 million years!

Yes, althought the rate of the expansion of the universe is also taken into consideration to calculate the age, so that make it somewhere between 10-15 billions of years I believe.

Exactly, probably it was the easiest way for them to take things in terms of thousands of years instead of millions or billions of years.

I totally agree that the Biblical creation stories are myths and not science, but I do think they contain some very deep spiritual truths.

I find it hard to think about how old the universe is because time is relative and therefore age is also relative.
