I mean jesus did say love your neighbour as yourself and when asked about this he told a story of someone who was robbed and beaten and no one helped him including a priest. only the samaritan (the heathen) actually helped him. The good samaritan story

I try to live my life with general Christian values in mind. I find that the idea and attitude of Christian forgiveness in particular, is appealing in an age of cancel culture.

"Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing" (Luke 23:34) is something that sticks with me when I think of how some people are so oblivious in terms of the harms that they cause without realizing the fact.

I also find it soothing to think of some things as being out of my hands during life and hopefully as part of something more meaningful on a higher level and whether true or not, no-one can know.

I try to learn from my past and apply Christian values to dealing with people who have come and gone in my life.

In short, no, I'm not a heathen, or at least, I don't wish to be.
