Unless your plan is to eradicate Muslims, oh wait...who started this thread? Never mind!
That's a crude insult. My religion isn't about eradicating any group; witnessing yes, rejecting evil yes, protecting and defending what is right yes, never ending genocide no. Let my deity deal with those people on spiritual issues, but when they go about murdering millions of people they need to be stopped.
Once again you read things into my posts that weren't there. However, I might remind you that the group responsible for the largest genocides ever to plague the planet is the one you refer to. History knows the truth. Killing in the name of one's deity and/or prophet/savior is immoral on both sides.
The super powers coming out of WWII screwed up by stealing the lands away from the Palestinians and giving it to the Jews as appeasement for the Holocaust. Do you remember what religion was behind the Holocaust? The Holocaust was wrong, but it was not right to steal away the Palestinians land. How could they not see the perception this would have in the region. They have been fighting for their freedom from the oppression of the Israeli regime ever since. I do not agree with the tactics started in the 1970's when they turned to civilian targets, but they are indeed fighting an unlawful occupying and oppressive force.
The U.S. treats the governments over there however they see fit depending on which way the oil flows. Sadly, the U.S. could have long ago lost their dependence on fossil fuels if it weren’t for its own corrupt political system. Don’t forget that Reagan and his cohorts supplied Saddam with biological and chemical weapons to fight the extremists in Iran, all the while illegally providing arms to Iran and sending the money from the sales to the Contras. He wanted them to keep each other in check. He also was behind training Bin Laden to fight the Soviets in Afghanistan. For decades the U.S. has backed the corrupt Saudi regime, one of the richest in the world, yet the people of Saudi Arabia are some of the poorest and have become disenfranchised. The U.S. hides behind the banner of democracy while secretly making backyard deals with any corrupt government it can to watch out for its own best interests. The rest of the world sees this and knows the U.S. is full of it. Did anybody else notice that the U.S. stopped talking about democracy in Iraq, which was the replacement goal after weapons of mass destruction? What is the goal now? Bases for invading Iran?
You are so naïve and shortsighted to make the comments you do.
