A Christian Palestinian coworker told me, to my surprise, that his family tree has three branches: Christian, Jewish and Muslim. And they are all identifying as Palestinians and have the same last name. I'd didn't know there are Jewish Palestians.

I think Judaism teaches that Palestinians are descended from the Philistines.

Back in those days though, there would have been a lot of interbreeding.

Not to get off topic, but the original Philistines had actually been part of a massive raiding expedition coming out of the Aegean known to historians as the Sea People. They had attacked Egypt and destroyed the Hittite empire in the same era. The Trojan War doubtlessly had been part of this massive wave of raids and invasions. Those that had settled in Canaan, who the Bible called Philistines, eventually intermarried with the local Semitic populace, losing their Indo-European genetic heritage.

I would hope to one day see him, Putin, and Trump convicted of their crimes although somehow I doubt any of them will be brought to justice.

Justice might be slow, but can be relentless.

Hope I live long enough to see them go down.
