Or just bomb the Palastine and blame it on Irag, when in turn it is the hope to set up the NWO. Conglomerate all religion, politics, corperations; and enslave humanity.

Capitalism cannot last without resources; when resources are fleeting, men will look towards other men for resourcing. Slavery will then uphold the state; communism brought back, but with a twist, and a new name.

These talks are a fraud, meant to boost Bush's legacy. Obviously when you hold peace talks, but only invite one of the two warring factions, it is impossible to achieve success.

This conflict's way older than Bush though, it goes all the way back to WWI and it'll probably take generations upon generations to unravel. All people can really do is just keep trying.

Holding peace talks where you only invite one of the warring factions to attend can hardly be considered "trying."

Only one? Not sure I follow what your saying with that. If you mean the heads of Hamas or the PLO there's no point - they have no desire whatsoever to have peace.

Then why pretend to hold peace talks at all???

It's one of the rules. Just like in Iraq, they have to pretend that every attempt was made to negotiate a peaceful solution. That pretense converts the the war from a blatant act of aggression to 'a necessity of last resort.'

I think this sad state of affairs is a result of the Political Correctness movement. No longer can a nation admit that they want to invade other countries to rape and plunder and show who is top dog! PC of the wishy-washy liberal and moderate members of our population makes us deny our true motivation. Wars now have to be sold to the public in a framework of "justice" or (selectively) enforcing international law, or some such nonsense.

Well, if your anti-Israel why cover it up with critiques of the peace talks and how they were? If that's the case its Israel's existence bugging you, not the specifics of the peace talks - just say "In my humble opinion the peace talks are a joke because Israel is an incursion and should not exist".

I'm not a leftist-troll. I was just making a point. The twelve-tribes were meant to share the land: but they have been throwing stones since day-one. We, the United States of America, have no right in intervene into whatever affairs they have over there. I know we have a lot of foundation as a state of Christians to try to uphold our beliefs, but i think that we are just fancying a facade with the demi-powers of religion. Not to mention the separation of church and state, it's masturbatory to actually believe that politicians care for the outcome of the holy land. It makes no sense to ammunition the Middle-east, and then try to appease a small group of the Palastine with talks of treatises. For what cause are we aiming our hopes? Faith is blind, my friend.

My reply was not anti-Israel, just suggesting that my solution is as logical as Averick's. I do think that the Israeli government doesn't want peace any more than Hamas... neither side can claim innocence in this matter.

If that makes me anti-Israel in your mind, then so be it... but it is utter nonsense.

I wasn't talking about you, I was talking about ed.

Hey, sorry again, friend. I didn't know who in context you were refering. But you realize Ed is a moderator, and that means bad things if you go against.

Ok, got it.

No, and my apologies - I guess I missed the context, probably the quotes from the earlier conversation that threw me off. On Hamas though, the trouble is they really do want Israel gone; being that's the case its just having a third party saying "No, we'll accept nothing more than the eradication of Israel" - not the most viable plan for peace.

i'm under the impressin that ed is no longer a moderator, Alex simply forgot to remove the moderator tag from his profile. He's been on this site for several years taking cheap pot-shots at anyone to the right of Jerry Brown.

And by the way ed, I think Averick's probably just talking out the side of his neck on that one.

I haven't been active as a moderator in quite a while, and was never all that active. I don't make a good enforcer, since I have AS

I only get upset when people start name-calling. We've done a pretty good job of not doing that in this contentious topic.
