I see being politically correct as a way to dumb people's thoughts down so that other people don't get 'offended'. I mean, 'personholecover'? 'womyn'? shto v hui! Let's be realistic in speech. If it offends someone that you're speaking the truth, then there's a problem. I admit I'm hard-of-hearing, fairly lazy and obsessed, not 'hearing-impaired, motivationally absent and recurrently-minded'! And PTSD? Gimme a break; it's shell shock. Nothing different except the name.

Watered-down language produces watered-down brains and weak-willed people. -_-

I think there's a difference between being politically incorrect and being out right racist. For example, calling someone black compared to calling them a coon. Just like anything else, PC often goes to an extreme.

I'm not the most PC person, but I have zero tolerance for racism, sexism or hatred of any kind. Just because I don't like our immigration policy, people think that's bigotry. Wrong. All it means its that I don't like our immigration policy and it needs reform.

This is Black History Month. There are some cool programs on Black History this month on TV. One was on tonight about this Black principal who taught White students in the 1960s to be Colorblind. They actually lived their lives the way they were taught and ended up being really neat people. My wife and I watched it together and really liked the program. I look forward to watching these programs when my kids are older and able to appreciate them more.

And, lots going on in some of the communities for Black History...an easy drive. My wife and I try to do some of these things every year. We want our children to respect and understand this history. They've made contributions and I want my kids to grow up to understand that. We also try to celebrate other ethnic months, too. Culture is important to us and them getting along with others is as well. That's why we travel a lot, to show them different people and places.

The libraries have stuff going on. My wife got a book on M.L. King that was age-appropriate for the kids. It was good for them to learn about King. I'm White, Conservative, not considered the most PC dude, but this is how I raise my kids. It doesn't bother me that one month is set aside exclusively to honor contributions made by people. Doesn't mean the issues are ignored the rest of the year. I think what we experience during this month carries over to the rest of the year and life in general.

It's easy to be PC when somebody lives in upper middle class neighborhoods far away from the problems they are part of by exploiting the working class to fund their lavish lifestlye and than tell somebody they should be tolerant of being victims of crime.

The PC bunch can pretend they aren't racist, until a white woman is crapping her pants because nobody is around but a black man and a white guy gets nervous as he finds himself encountering a black man or a group of blacks and nobody is around.
I would love to see the PC bunch be cashiers at a C-store and than still claim they aren't the least bit concerned at 2am when a black man comes into the store.

Even though I despise democrap politicians, I hope Obama wins the election for the overall good of the country to hopefully change the under dog feeling minorities have. It's not a feeling, it's a fact and this country needs to really move beyond it's past.

I'm not against them teaching black history month. In fact, I think they should teach hispanic history, asian history, and for all other races.
What I do have a problem with is when the carriculum holds onto the victim card and preaches victimology to them. I agree it was horrible what they had to go through, and nobody should EVER have to go through that. But it is also important to move on these days.
Some discrimination still happens against blacks, but they support it by buying into BET. Instead of attacking the whites who are actually doing them bad, the popular "progressive" black seperatists spread the assumption that ALL white people are racist and against them. This could not be any further from the truth. But this is used to justify reverse racism, which I'd rather just call racism because racism is racism.
