I thought this discussion had something to it. Now it just sounds like the opinions of what a woman't profession should be.

I was in a downtown rehab for drinking in the women and children department. Majority of women working in this field live unhappy lives and do it for a quick buck just to score so you might as well include ppl who sell illegal drugs. I'm also not too far from an area that's like that and it ain't a pretty site espeacially for children.

If prostitution were to be legalized, then many of the prostitutes mentioned would witness the economic returns falling to the point where they might find it more profitable to seek more conventional employment.

If the present rate is, say, $100 for ten minutes work, many would find that preferable to sweating all day in a fast food joint, for "chump change."

But, given the laws against prostitution, women who enter this profession need to be willing to accept a great deal of risk. So, most of the women are probably not the happiest sort of women to begin with.

If you legalize prostitution, and afford legal protections to prostitutes, then more women would probably say "Well, shoot, I have a nice looking butt. Why not make a little extra money on the side?"
