Why dont you ask the CIA?

"Al-Qaida,(sic) literally 'the database,' was originally the computer file of the thousands of mujahideen who were recruited and trained with help from the CIA to defeat the Russians," admits former British Foreign Secretary Robin Cook, whose Foreign Office portfolio included control of British Intelligence Agency MI-6 and the Government Communications Headquarters (GCHQ), in a column published by the UK Guardian newspaper.
(http://www.guardian.co.uk/terrorism/sto ... 38,00.html)

In other words, the so-called Al Qaeda, which has been promoted by the Media Cartel as the cause of all bombings and terrorism since the destruction of the World Trade Center in New York on September 11, 2001, is simply a database of CIA trained "terrorists" (or "freedom fighters," depending on your perspective) which has become a convenient Global Boogeyman for the 21st Century.

What does this mean? The entire planet has been fooled into believing that an Islamic "organization" exists to promote the destruction of Western society, when in fact this "organization" is just a list of Pentagon/ CIA trained assassins, who can be used and discarded as needed.

I'm glad someone said it!!

There is no 'al qaeda' as such; it's a nonexistant catch-all term for the boogeyman that haunts your dreams... Nothing more. Just like the WTC attacks weren't carried out by them either; that was an inside job by the US govt and the 'puppeteers' in charge of them.

You really think they don't know where bin Laden is?

I disagree with LeKiwi. I think there really are people out there that buy into an extremist world view that blends Islam with pan-Arabism and social conservatism. Whether or not they want to destroy western civilization or not is debatable, but clearly, they don't like us and have shown no restraint if given the chance to jab us in the eye.

Of course there are, just like there are extremist christians and extremist anything elses. They just aren't called al Qaeda, they aren't run by an old man hiding in a cave, and they aren't out to kill all western civilisation. Don't be duped into a contrived east v west/islam v christian war.

I blame Nasr. His belief in pan-arabism (Egyptians aren't Arabs so to speak) and antisemitism provoked the war against Israel. After the destruction of the arab forces, Zawahiri under the ideologies of Qutb began to advocate a more islamic attitude for the muslim nations, thinking that if the secular regimes couldn't defeat the Israelis, then an Islamic regime will.

And the fact that Nasser was almost assassinated by the Islamic Brotherhood (fore-runner of Al Qaeda) in 1954, and then he vigorously repressed them? Does that make him more responsible?

Well, think of it this way: If Nasser's Arab alliance had vanquished the Israelis, would there have been a reason for Islamization?

I've seen Egyptian movies of the 50's-70's and they are nothing like what appears today. Hijab was not worn or viewed as compulsive. After the failures of the secular nations, things changed. The ideologies changed.
