People like me are accused of grovelling before the image of a man nailed to a cross while others grovel at the feet of Einstein, Newton, Dawkins.

Grovel? Is quoting equivalent to groveling? A request was more or less made for his opinion. I merely provided it.
You were the one who claimed Einstein couldn't provide an opinion. Why sneer when you see it?

It's essentially a defensive post. Slowmutant evidently feels attacked because he assumed Einstein could not answer his demand for Einstein to comment on the issue. When I presented Einstein's comment he made the emotional response that anyone who respects acclaimed scientists are merely prostrating themselves before authority rather that accepting their ideas. Religion, of course, is essentially a prostration before authority and he used that reference frame on rational thinkers.
