Actually, it has some purpose.

I had this idea, awhile ago, after reading an excerpt from The Doors of Perception, of going to a country where mild psychedelia are legal and trying something like peyote or DMT just once, only to see what it would really be like.

I am now firmly opposed to this idea.

DMT is not a mild psychedelic.

This is the most interesting thread I've read on WP. I don't meet many people who like this sort of thing so I'm really thankful for finding some of your tips on entering the shamanic state. 8)

that's lovely. i hope you live a long sober life.

it's funny because if you actually bothered to read what he posts, he said he tried it before and stopped and discourages people from doing them and frowns upon them.

but it's okay, you're only interested in showing that you're a douchebag. so: douche on, good sir!

There are programs like SBaGen, which create binaural beats for free as well as communities around them. IMHO this is a better idea.

now is a bad descriptor considering your demeanor belies that you were always opposed to the idea.

it's also interesting in that you defend christianity tooth and nail but you attack this guy as much as many of the other atheists attack christians on the board.

sounds like you're just lying about most everything.

I was once slightly inclined towards taking something like, idk, psilocybin once, in the Netherlands or something, based on the writings of Aldous Huxley, but now I'm not going to do that.

In which post did I defend Christianity

Why are my views on Christianity relevant to my views on posting rambling, incoherent nonsense

You got me. I'm really a repo man named Cletus.

okay. I'm sorry, i just can't resist.

You don't need hallucinogenics to turn you into a blithering hypergraphic idiot who can't post anything that makes sense,
you are already well past the red line on all counts.

And YOU shouldn't use psychoactives ever, thats pretty obvious- but not for the reasons you describe.

Yeah, I've used SBgen before - not really sure that it did much. On the other hand, I got a free sample from one of the (more expensive) commercial companies that pretty reliably leads to a pronounced shift in consciousness when I listen to it ... but I'm too cheap to shell out the big bucks.

With SBgen, I would sometimes feel foggy and exhausted afterwards - so I wasn't surprised to read this article, that found that it might cause negative effects:
