Probably not. I don't know which of the 12 were literate and which ones weren't.

Its an interesting question. Its perfectly reasonable to assume literacy in those times was greater than 1000 years later. Certainly people were more multi-lingual.

Jesus said it will be obvious (no faith will be required to know) when he comes back.

Some kind of global miracle that everyone will see. Maybe like "the rapture".
