Dozens more report prior cases of vandalism targeting Hummer
(Willya look at that! Two boys arguing over who knows more about vaginas. Just 'cuz you rode down an escalator, boys, doesn't mean you know anything about them!)
I drive a Prius. Some of those Humvee drivers can get downright mean about me being in front of them. Some even dump crap out their windows when they pass me. Others lay one the horn as soon as the light turns green. Most of them just flip me off, cut me off, then take right off.
I smile and wave, cause I know thatn I'm getting 10 times the mileage and paying 20 to 30 times less for a full tank of gas!
Actually I know a few women who drrive the things. My downstairs neighbor for instance, she also has yet to single park with her hummer (I'm wondering if she even drove before that car). If I have to look for a different parking lot on account of her parking I'm gonna be really pissed is all I can say.
pissed enough to key it?

I don't agree with vandalism as I had it done to my car just for having my favorite hockey teams flag on it, people who do this deserve to be caught and have their balls cut off with a rusty soup can lid, then hung with piano wire. I don't care for Hummers, as they are nothing but status symbols for men with tiny penis syndrome, if they want to pay exorbitant prices to fuel them, let them.

Hehehe, too true. it would nice to just pin them down, grab the dullest key you can find in your pocket (the duller the better), and scratch one of their cheeks for a good 10 or 15 minutes until they bleed a little just from the chafing and rawness.
On the idea of or ownership of Hummers I guess I'm a little indifferent - though I would say H2's and H3's are a bit pointless, one of my buddy's pulling them out of ditches all day in West Virginia with his Jeep when they think they can take them to off-roading courses. I'd image that having to put over $100 in your tank per week though has to be a pretty good disincentive for buying them in the first place - someone who's rich enough not to be bothered by that probably has a few other cars and "Hmmm, what today...Aston Martin? Mazerati? Lambourghini? Hummer?" - probably more of a weekend vehicle than anything.

However, I should point out that keying such an ugly car as the civilian Hummer will probably improve its appearance.
What??? Hummers are beautiful beasts.
These misguided environmentalists should be beating up people who throw away toxic waste, not taking out their frustration on vehicles. It's criminal damage which isn't really doing anything to "save" the world. ret*ds.

Really, Hummers may be the posterchild for needless crap gas economy, but the constant "I hate Hummers" that has become trendy (which, like all trends, everyone thinks that no matter how asinine the joke is it must be funny) is a little arbitrary methinks.

This reminds me of an incident some years ago in Oregon, when some self styled ecoterrorists torched a dealer's lot full of SUVs. The pollutants released by burning the SUVs far exceeded what they would have put into the air over their lifetimes, the dealer collected his insurance, and got a new shipment of them to sell anyway. The environment took it in the shorts, and the arsonists were looking at some serious prison time (I don't remember if they were caught). Don't forget that we have emissions standards to thank for the popularity of SUVs in the first place, since they were initially conceived as a workaround to get the large cars the public wanted to market without getting hit with gas guzzler fines. Gotta love unintended consequences.

DOX, you're right, I have never been able to figure out the logic in vandalizing SUV's in the name of the environment. The vandalism causes more damage, but direct and consequential than the vehicle would ever do!
I don't know why anyone would want to drive one of these big, sluggish hulks of a vehicle anyways. They drive like busses, and are about as easy to maneuver as one! I can see if you got a lotta stuff to haul, but for daily driving, why would anyone want to put themselves through the aggrivation of finding parking spots, blind sides, and listening to your tires melt away in corners. Besides, the hummer H2 is nothing but a Chevy Tahoe anyways...it's related only to the military Hummwv only in appearance and nameplate. In fact, the military version has a diesel engine and gets better mileage! If you must own an SUV, save your $20,000 and drive down the street to the Chevy dealer instead for the same truck!
Still, I respect the right of someone to own a large vehicle. I use large vans and trucks for my work, and they are the best tool for the job. You simply cannot get 18 inch subwoofers, 70 inch plasma TV's and other stuff into a Prius or other small car, and even if you could, the springs would be on the ground trying.
