Oh. I've been known to miss things like that. I caught it in Greenblue's thread with the violin video, becuase of his poll choices.

I see that that was probably a bad idea :P

About the youtube video, well I can say that some of the comments people make on youtube can be sexist and most likely stupid and immature, one can't help to read some kids, probably most of posters there are just kids, saying things that usually come from social norms on gender roles, mostly when it comes to insults.

I have read comments of similar nature with artistic women, musicians, etc on youtube and forums, which they concentrate more into how hot they look (hormones raging) than the performance itself. However, I admit that a female art performer being attractive, it will naturally get more attention from males, same goes the other way around.

To my point of view, the comments from posters on youtube seem to come more sexist than the video and picture themselves, as pictures and videos such as this can be subjected to any interpretation you would like for their ambiguity and comments, usually are more clear in the message they want to give.

Well, I believe the pic is somehow ambiguous, that you could make anything of it I suppose.

That's why I like older mor lam songs such as this one. They focus on the music and not on acting like poor half-naked ghetto b*****s. However, these singers are very attractive, even though they appear to be wearing ice cream vendor uniforms.

How is that sexist?

Well, if four whites and four blacks were dancing separately, and each in some sort of stereotyped "white" and "black" outfits, then someone might declare it "racist."

I don't know--is "sexist" necessarily a pejorative term?

To be fair, I'm not sure using blue for men and pink for women is overtly sexist

Someone might, but if it does not imply one is better than the other, then I would disagree. They are all dancing together at the end and their outfits are very similar, and the side clips show people of both sexes in regular street clothes dancing together.

I'll bet creative use of ping pong balls would make the video in the OP sexist.
