If I were you I wouldn't worry about it at a personal level. There are too many sane people to hopefully ever allow them to get into power, whatever the economic and social climate. I truly do believe there will be major social unrest though but it will be directed towards Muslims not Jews; and the government will be stuck in the middle trying to keep the peace with the army deployed on the streets. I may be wrong anyway, this is just my intuition and speculation.

do not forget the credit crunch. this was how the Nazis got in to power, the reason why the Germans voted the nazi was because of the depression.

An excellent point - but the Nazis were experts in propaganda and manipulation; few people take the BNP seriously.

And there is an other difference: Being unemployed in 1932 in Germany mend often an empty stomach and rough sleeping, today it means in Britain no money for the pub ...

Since Muslims will eventually outnumber non-Muslims (if current birthrates continue) in Western Europe and Britain, it's unlikely there would be enough BNP supporters in the next generations to give the party a foothold.

You may have look into the numbers first and than rethink your statement.

The Muslim birthrate is approximately 3 times that of native British and Europeans. Extrapolate through generations and you will achieve a majority.

As I remember there were parts of England during the last general election where the BNP vote was around 5%. That may not sound a lot, but when you think it is 1 in 20 people that sounds like a lot of people do take them seriously.

That figure with some preferences thrown their way would be enough to get them a senate seat in Australia. This would actually be good because the increased media attention would show the general population how politically bankrupt their ideology is. Provided of course the media wants to reveal them for the morons that they are, the trouble really comes when the media supports far right nationalists.

Yes but Muslims make up 2.7% of the population most of them are Pakistani British and with the second and third generation their birth rate is more inline with British cultural norms.

You are not comparing like with like.

The figure is dropping with the next generation - but: The rate of Muslims is below 3% in the UK. How many generation you think will it need to turn those into a majority?

This article is quite nonsense:

"The 15 million Muslims of the European Union" of roughly 490 Mio. EU-Citizens - ca. 3%.

Quote:
The presence of nearly 10 million Muslims versus only 700,000 Jews in France and Germany alone helps explain why continental Europe might look at the Middle East from a different angle than does the United States. Indeed, French and German concerns about a unilateral U.S. attack on Iraq or Washington?s blind support for Israel are at least partly related to nervousness about the Muslim street at home.

The policy has more to do with traditional good relations between Germany and France on the one side and Arab states on the other side - and long term economic interests in this region.

Quote:
Muslim population is an unintended consequence of actions taken nearly a half century ago. During the postwar labor shortage in the 1950s and 1960s, Turks, Algerians, Moroccans, Tunisians, and Pakistanis were called ...

It is simply a hyper-simplification to put those groups into one pot!

Quote:
Most recently, in 2000, Germany joined the countries where citizenship is granted according to birthplace instead of ancestry

This is simply wrong - he may have a look into the actual wording of the law first: http://www.gesetze-im-internet.de/rusta ... 30913.html

My original point was that it will be difficult for any "white nationalist" type political force to gain traction in areas of the world that are becoming less and less white. How quickly they will become less white is open to debate, but the US, for instance, is going to have a white minority by the 2040s.

Most country people are idiots and uneducated anyways -.- They only care for their crops (that's legitimate enough though). And that seems to be constant anywhere i look (Canada, USA, you name it!).

As anti-immigrant sentiment continues to rise in the West, support for nationalist parties will also continue to rise.

The US is much more of an ethnic melting pot than is Europe, especially with the Hispanic immigration over the past several decades. And even if the extrapolations made are correct (they almost always are not) then whites aren't going to be a "minority." Whites would still be the single largest demographic, just we'd be a plurality rather than an outright majority. And I don't have a problem with that: if we can get past the point where our society is seen as dominated by one ethnic group and is instead viewed as a diverse, multi-ethnic culture, we can grow up and move past the stupid racial politics that we see today. No more "Are we ready for a Black President?" No more bitching about one race or another being favored or discriminated against. Just all of us coexisting in peace.

Honestly, most of the claims that whites will be "overrun" by other races tends to be complete BS. They predicted a hundred years ago that we'd be overrun by immigrants from non-Nordic countries and it hasn't really happened. It's eugenicist propaganda at its best. And anyways, racial background is not so important- what matters more is cultural identity. I don't believe a modern liberal society can continue to prosper with a majority Muslim population, as they will begin to make insistences on implementing Islamic law, curtailing free expression, and so on. However, I think Muslims raised in a liberal Western society will either abandon their Islamic faith in large numbers or dramatically modify it to be more sane and in accordance with the values of the society in which they live.

EDIT: And no, the BNP is never going to gain power. Many of the votes for them are likely protest votes, and not actual BNP bigots, so their vote turnouts don't accurately reflect the level of support.

You've more to fear from the increasing number of Muslims in this country. As for that You Tube clip, I watched a few minutes, and could see it was going nowhere. How does it prove anything?

There were also regional surges in support for the British National Party, who however failed to win any seats, their highest poll being 16.9% in the Labour stronghold of Barking, East London.

And hot of the press, so to speak:

Wingfield at the BNP website wrote:
LAST night, the British National Party pulled off one of its best results of 2009 when it came from nowhere to take second place in Manchester’s Moston by-election, winning a 23.3% vote share and trouncing both the Tories and the Liberal Democrats.

Anyway, I can see there are several youngsters posting in this thread who've been brainwashed by state education into believing the BNP are some Nazi-like organisation. This is not true, as far as I can make out. Obviously, like any political organisation they have flaws, but they do provide a necessary balance to our democracy that has increasingly moved towards liberal politically-correct pro-European policies. The most disturbing thing is that in speaking out against this leftist agenda, you may risk losing your job, or even a criminal prosecution. That needs to stop, and the rise of the BNP is a means to that end. As their popularity grows, one hopes that many of the important issues that are off limits for public discussion, will once again become accepted. Of course, that's not to say the BNP will necessarily become a political force like the Conservatives or Labour, but their contribution to democracy, and the future of our country, may well be of significance when future generations recount our history.

Hmm... and you've now got a president called Barack Hussein Obama.
