It's interesting, isn't it folks? The outrage over the death of a man who spent his career with babies' blood on his hands, squeezing the life from their tiny, defenseless bodies. Versus the cone of silence around those innocent babies' deaths at Tiller's hands.

The outrage is partially over the violation of US laws, partially over murder, and partially over how this murder was accomplished, as it was done in a church.

In this thread, the outrage is at your behavior. Why? Because you are talking about the rightness of murder.

Again, no I am not. I'm talking about the acceptability of the present case: an continuous killer being dead.
My view is a complex, even complicated one, I'll grant you, but I want you to understand it.
As I already stated, I'm not saying Tiller's killer made the right decision in killing him. I'm saying only what I'm saying, which is that Tiller's death isn't a bad thing.

If you put extra words in my mouth, you're no longer arguing with me or my views.

That'd be the same as hating JFK and saying that his death wasn't a bad thing. Or that someone you didn't like in high school dying and that you think their death wasn't a bad thing.

No, that would be quite different. JFK didn't kill 60,000 innocent people, and neither did any of my high school peers.
Tell me, is 60,000 just a number to you? And, since you clearly have no objection to Tiller's acts, would you be averse to seeing the corpses that make up that number?

What would be really interesting and illuminating is to have you explain why Tiller didn't deserve death while standing next to a pile of his dead victims' bodies. As should all defenders of the Holocaust stand in front of lifesize posters of the piles of dead Jews while defending Hitler's philosophy. At least have the courage to face, and literally see, what you advocate. Abortion is a silent Holocaust. This truth is barely aloud to be written on WP, as I have already been warned.

If you lectured from a podium surrounded by the bodies of Tiller's victims, we could more clearly see your point. And how wrong it is. We could all see, with out own eyes, the results of the acts you're defending. Showing those corpses would not be permissible on Wrong Planet. But advocating that the piles grow ever higher is.

Now you're changing the argument to whether abortion is right or wrong. That is NOT what is being discussed here; What is being discussed is the fact that someone killed an unarmed man in premeditated, cold-blooded murderous thought as a way to try and kill the practice of abortion.
You can't kill an action, an idea nor a thought by killing a person (or a group of people with individual opinion). Maybe the "pro-life" movement should consider this before carrying out terrorism.
Of course, since you know all about the Nazis, you should understand that.

I never said I advocated for or against abortion. Don't try to drag this into an abortion argument; this is about following the law of the nation you pledge allegiance to - the America you claim to love.

Roeder broke the law and committed a felony; George Tiller did not - these are facts.
(Argue them if you will; George Tiller didn't shoot anyone.)
Whether or not what Roeder or Tiller did was morally right or wrong according to your religion simply does not apply.
Roeder killed an unarmed man in evil, premediated, malevolent cold blood. He will have his day in court, as provided by law.

Two subpoenas for a petty internet comment though. I don't think on average anyone will push this far for something like this, and the US government in all likelihood has much much worse internet offenders than this that are not being addressed.

Ragtime, Im here to give a warning: In our litigious society, such comments could result in a lawsuit being filed against at the least and at worst law enforcement could regard you as a suspected terrorist. What you are saying could be intepreted as inciting violence and in this day and age such speech is not protected by the 1st amendment.

You are wholly incorrect, sir.

(Well, shoot, there's just nothing more to say! :) My first sentence covers each and every point that you attempted to make.)

Ragtime, as much as I might not agree with what you say, I will defend with my life your right to say it.*

*Of course, this freedom of speech also allows me to criticize what you say as well. :P

From an internet forum? Not many people would even notice it if Ragtime pushed to overthrow the government. So, I don't see much reason for him to care. I mean, nobody would even know who to send the lawsuit to without doing some major investigation.

So, I really don't know what the point of this comment is.

The point of the comment is to intimidate me.

Actually, I know several Holocaust survivors who believe abortion is exactly what I said it is.
And that is because the moral rational behind the Holocaust is the same as that behind the Holocaust:
expendable, less-than-human people.

Those who survived Auschwitz didn't escape it with a newfound respect for a woman's "right" to kill her child.

That wasn't a threat ragtime, and as it is, much of what you said in that post is actually quite incorrect.

Given that attempting to carry a bottle of shampoo onto a plane can make law enforcement suspect you to be a terrorist, that doesn't mean much.

There is no incitement to violence or hate in what he said. That you don't like it doesn't make it hate speech.

Finally, in this litigious society, absolutely anything can spark a lawsuit.

It's a fine line sometimes, but not this time. Nothing Zornslemma said suggested that he would do anything to Ragtime if he continued.

Would you consider it to be a threat if I told you the tires on your car were bald and if you drove it like that you could have an accident?

Most likely so.

I doubt if I would, but if you started it off with the words...I am warning you...I might reply by asking what the crap that is supposed to mean.

Yes, yes I would. How dare you threaten me with tire baldness! I shall respond by putting Rogaine on my tires daily. Then we'll see who has the last laugh!! !!

I've been around Claire333, it's just that the conversation has been a bit boring around here lately and I tend to ignore boring conversations.

Nice to know I was missed though. :D

see, this is why people are telling god to shove it today, because your "loving" god seems to only spout hate, like your womb doesn't belong to you, its property of our sky god, even though our sky god made you gay, you are going to hell for it, and the like.
