Most commentators here live in societies that are largely Christian and feel the effects and so resent being pushed around by ideas that offend them. It is obvious that strict Islamic fundamentalists are much worse but they have no control over western society. That the Islamics are worse does not improve Christianity.
Christians are generally not apt to call for people's heads for poking fun at Christianity though.
Which implies, by your logic that if you can discover any religion which is worse than Christianity then Christianity should never be criticized.

the guiding texts of islam aren't much uglier than the guiding texts of christianity. the main difference seems to be that christians don't follow their guiding texts as strictly.
and i don't see anyone on this board pulling their punches when it comes to islam.

don't mistake liberal condemnation of jackass-christians burning holy books and attempting to restrict another religion's access to real estate as "looking the other way" about islamic fundassholeryism. we think they are no less deserving of religious freedom than you are.

Although I in no way find any delight in either Islam or Christianity it strikes me that the size of Allah's penis, like that of any male, adjusts to the occasion.
