I somehow doubt pandering and enabling Islam itself is among our problems, it's more to do with the politics of oil. By intervention, I meant military action.
We are in the unfortunate position of being presently reliant on the Saudis. I think the reason why Pakistan is becoming more radicalised is due to Saudi investment, which is in turn why we have militants in the UK. They go to madrassas run by Salafists.
Don't get wrong, I think PC is largely unhelpful but it's not responsible for the 'Islam' problem. Oil, war and the book itself are responsible.
