This may come as a complete shock to you, but the company was formed and is run for the good of its owners, not the good of society.

No sh** Sherlock. That's why we have a thing called government.

As long as the company operates according to the requirements of law they are cool. If you don't like it, don't buy from them.

That's exactly what we are suggesting. Remember the topic of this thread is?

The way this standard, Ruvenesque "this is how the world works" lecture backfired needs to be preserved for posterity.

Papa John's sure as sh*t seems to have some spare cash on it's hands, with it's 2 million free pizzas gimmick. Even given that some revenues are recouped due to increased sales (if the advertising tactic is effective), that still implies a lot of cash above & beyond the operational break-even point to spare in ads.

The people in charge of that private San Fransisco hospital need to be booted in the testicles - as do any medical facility that turns any one in need away.

Conservatives don't want any Atheists in their midst. They're going to scorn you and pity you.

Now, go to church already! Start praying and tithing! Otherwise, they might say that it was your fault that the Mormon lost.

So I guess the many atheist conservatives I know are just figments of my imagination?

Your blind, uneducated hatred is really sad. Turn off the MSNBC and actually talk to some conservatives from different walks of life.

You are asking a liberal to question his premises. You might as well spit in the wind or micturate vertically up a rope.

I would not go so far as to call non-liberals conservatives. Many of just plain folk who have their share of common sense. Liberals believe in the money tree and Equality. That is a shame. There is no money tree and humans are unequal.

They already do (not that I care) so there’s nothing to lose.

I haven’t been dragged into a church since I was 15. I didn’t leave anything behind so I haven’t had cause to go back.

Of the two, liberals are much more closed minded about their conservative opposites. I don’t expect it will ever improve much.

They believe in both at the expense of everything else.

Aha! Raptor is a Liberal! The secret is out! What next? Are you going to admit that you don't actually own any guns?

I can't really boycott because I rarely eat pizza.

I'm just lucky I wasn't working when I was diagnosed with cancer. Otherwise I probably would have been working at some crummy minimum wage job without health insurance like Papa John's and been both ineligible for Medicaid yet far too poor to pay for treatment, plus good luck on my keeping that crummy job after needing 6 weeks off for surgery and to get them to schedule my hours around my radiation and chemotherapy treatment assuming I even felt well enough to work.

I think most hardcore conservatives are closeted atheists who suck up to the evangelicals because they like that old-school chauvinism. It gives them a good excuse to bash the queers and tell all their lessers (poor, non-white, and/or female) "stay in your place". I'd be willing to bet a million dollars that Rushbo is an atheist.

Yes, I'm a bleeding heart sniveling liberal and I just want to be loved and taken care of by the government. Why can't those f*cking conservatives accept that?????

I'm not feeling any of that much touted liberal diversity here.

But all humans should be equal under the law - and considered of equal worth - regardless of inequality of intelligence or ability. Otherwise dicks like David Duke will have their way by saying there is an intellectual difference defined by race.
