Pouring water on a fire removes the oxygen, not the heat. Hot water puts out fires.

This is different, though. I'll explain F**k or Walk® a little further. As explained to me by a friend who was talking about his high school experience in the 70s, the "game" consisted of asking a girl out on a date, and mind you, you had to select the girl carefully. You want to choose a girl who has a bit of a reputation, if you know what I mean. So, you casually ask the slut, I mean girl out. If she says yes, you go for a drive in your automobile. You drive to a secluded spot, and at that time you let her know that she is playing the "game.;" also, that she has just lost.

One time a guy tried to pull me into his car. It was late and I was walking by a secluded intersection. All I did was give him a dirty look and told him to get his effing hand off me. He grabbed my arm and was trying to get me to go with him and when I told him that my eyes changed and he looked freaked out, like he saw a demon, got in his car and hauled ass. He was waiting for me in this place on the side of the road. He had already passed, asked me if I wanted a ride I told him no. He parked his car, got out, grabbed my arm, told me I was going with him. No. I don't think so.

He had one of those old muscle cars and it needed painting. Some pock marked guy with jet black hair.

No one's ever tried to pull me into a car, but I've backed more than one over-familiar guy off with my Aspie-stare-of-death.

wrt. 'what is the patriarchy':
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/soraya-ch ... 61160.html

And then another time, not quite the same as this, I asked this guy for directions and instead of telling me he started mumbling and tried to take my suitcase from me which of course I didn't trust him to do, exactly, so I did the same thing as with the other guy and it was so weird. He got that scared look on his face and took off fast. It's just something I do with my eyes. I project a lot into them they see it and they take off like they are looking at demons or something, I feel all powerful, sometimes.

ManWomanMyth - Family - Fatherlessness

"Why is fatherlessness such an issue in our society? Explores the causes of fatherlessness and how it is encouraged and exacerbated by government and charities.

• The essential role of fathers to successful upbringing of children
• The numerous negative consequences of fatherlessness
• Government pursuing aspects of a Marxist model of society with excluded fathers, single mothers and children raised in childcare
• Society primed to expect aberrant behaviour from men
• NSPCC charity and their negative impact on family
• Men and women increasingly becoming divided and dissatisfied with each other
• Women love big government and big government loves women"

"Misandry in the domestic violence industry, featuring Erin Pizzey, Angry Harry, Stephen Fitzgerald and Michele Elliott.

The Duluth model is a commonly used reference tool used by various agencies, including government, which asserts that men are violent and aggressive towards women and dominate women in society. This model is applied to all men regardless of upbringing or circumstances. This film examines this model to see if the idea that only men are violent and that women are perpetual victims holds water.

• No men can work in womens shelters and no boys over 12 years of age are allowed
• Womens violence to children
• How men are raised and conditioned to protect women, and the values they are taught
• DV and powerlessness
• The flaws in the common understanding of the causes of DV"

WASHINGTON (AP) - More than half of female Marines in boot camp can't do three pullups, the minimum standard that was supposed to take effect with the new year, prompting the Marine Corps to delay the requirement, part of the process of equalizing physical standards to integrate women into combat jobs.

The delay rekindled sharp debate in the military on the question of whether women have the physical strength for some military jobs, as service branches move toward opening thousands of combat roles to them in 2016.

Sephardic male, do you really want to get into a 'bad behavior' story contest? I guarantee that I'd win.

Wrt. female marines not being able to do pull-ups: on the one hand, I think that women should be allowed into any position which they are qualified for; on the other, pull-ups specifically test one's upper body strength in proportion to one's body weight. If the testing had originally been designed for women, instead of originally designed for men, the test would be lower body strength in proportion to body weight, and it would be the men who couldn't pass. Maybe they should substitute the 'pick up a chair against the wall' test, with the same number of lifts required as males are required to do pull-ups. :p

Sorry LKL I gotta call you on this one. Lugging around a huge rucksack full of gear is an entirely upper body affair. The whole reason we need our grunts to be strong is because they've got to carry a TON of gear on their backs. You NEED a strong back, and pullups are all about back strength. The test is designed for precisely the kind of strength we need our leathernecks to possess.

That said, imo we ought to be throwing lots of women at jobs like piloting vehicles such as helicopters and such.

This is not correct. I backpack regularly, and the pack rests on the hips, not the back and shoulders. You pick it up with your legs and you move it forward with your legs, not with your back and arms. This is true for men as well as women.
http://www.rei.com/features/infographic ... aphic.html
If our "leathernecks" are carrying weight on their backs and shoulders, they are suffering from poor design and setting themselves up for back problems that will not be beneficial to their fighting readiness.

1: The link isn't working.
2: Any leg-based standards most women could pass would also be easy for most men to pass. Legs are about the only category that women can hope to match men in.
3: Lower back and leg strength are good for the long marches but that changes a lot once combat starts and you're no longer moving around completely erect.
4: You need big arms and shoulders in order to use any gun bigger than an M16 effectively in battle.
5: I guess it depends on how you define "upper body strength", I tend to include anything above the waist in that category.
