There is no solution. The Jews are occupying Palestinian land. The only solution would be for them to leave.

“There are no differences between Jordanians, Palestinians, Syrians and Lebanese. We are all part of one nation. It is only for political reasons that we carefully underline our Palestinian identity… yes, the existence of a separate Palestinian identity serves only tactical purposes. The founding of a Palestinian state is a new tool in the continuing battle against Israel”.

Zuhair Muhsin, military commander of the PLO and member of the PLO Executive Council

“Never forget this one point: There is no such thing as a Palestinian people, there is no Palestinian entity, there is only Syria. You are an integral part of the Syrian people, Palestine is an integral part of Syria. Therefore it is we, the Syrian authorities, who are the true representatives of the Palestinian people”.

Syrian dictator Hafez Assad to the PLO leader Yasser Arafat

“The area was under populated and remained economically stagnant until the arrival of the first Zionist pioneers in the 1880′s, who came to rebuild the Jewish land. The country had remained “The Holy Land” in the religious and historic consciousness of mankind, which associated it with the Bible and the history of the Jewish people. Jewish development of the country also attracted large numbers of other immigrants – both Jewish and Arab. The road leading from Gaza to the north was only a summer track suitable for transport by camels and carts… Houses were all of mud. No windows were anywhere to be seen… The plows used were of wood… The yields were very poor… Schools did not exist… The rate of infant mortality was very high… The western part, toward the sea, was almost a desert… Many ruins were scattered over the area, as owing to the prevalence of malaria, many villages were deserted by their inhabitants”.

The report of the British Royal Commission, 1913

Okay then you'd better leave too because where you live was once occupied by someone else who was here before you and then Europeans just came and took it but wait...before one tribe another tribe lived on it but were kicked off by invaders so you better go back and trace exactly who the first people were who lived on that land. Unless you are a full blooded American Indian and can prove your ancestors were the very first people to live on that spot you call home, it wasn't you. So as soon as you are willing to leave, I will suggest the Israelis do the same.

Zionism is evil and it should be condemned, whether or not we can offer a solution to the situation in Israel.

The irony is that Zionism isn't even a Jewish invention. It was invited by European anti-semites as a way to get the Jews out of Europe. Hence the mass flight of Jews after the war.

How does Zionism affect you? It doesn't me. The US sends aide to Israel but it does a host of others too I have no connection with.
I am not Jewish and I know no Zionists. They live in Israel and this country isn't even one of the richest in the world It does okay but Kuwait and Saudi Arabia have more because of oil exportation. Ever notice countries like UAE cannot be bothered? It's because they don't want to risk having their cities destroyed they don't bother with it and Israel is no threat to them.
Do you realize that if the Gaza strip would stop being so destructive, hateful and militant they could be a lot like Beirut which has become quite a lovely city as of late. It's within their grasp if they would stop this Hamas nonsense and work toward it.
My suggestion is to work toward becoming a grand city and stop with the militant extremism because it only bring pain and suffering. Let it go.

Yeah I read that Europeans were only too happy to get rid of their Jews. So Jews were victims and I can understand how mistreatment by other Europeans made them want to have their own nation, but suffering cannot be an excuse to forcefully take other people's property and ethnically cleanse them.

Still I feel sorry for Jews, considering that they were mistreated for thousands of years.

We cannot only worry about things that affects us. Morality is the same for everyone. An evil is no more evil if it happens to me than someone else 10,000km away! Land grabbing and ethnic cleansing is evil no matter whom it happens to.

Then you need to punish all of mankind because it has a sordid history of stealing land. Marauders have always existed. Just giving everyone back their land means all of us would be displaced the world over and it would take a lifetime to figure out all the "firsts" so we know who it is, exactly, that belongs here.
Or, we can simply try to figure out how to get along with one another instead.

And do you seriously think that will ever happen? Or could happen?

In order to create a solution it has to be acknowledged that Israel can and has done wrong, rather than the theory that its somehow a one sided 'war' where the Palestinians are the only ones who play a role in the problems that have created this ongoing conflict. Both sides need to get over their 'we were here first' crap first of all......fact is arabs and jews both live in that area that is the reality that both sides need to deal with.

Also I would say many of the Palestinian 'civilians' are innocent victims.

You would think that would be enough to get them to stop bombing, knowing civilians die. Instead they recruit suicide terrorists for more missions. What they have done over the years has impeded their own peace. Look at Ghandi, for example. Do you think they would be further along if they acted more like him?

The entire Arab/Islamic mindset towards Jews and Israel has to change.

It's not a 'Palestinian' thing - it's an 'Arab'/'Muslim' thing unfortunately.

There are a very few Muslim Zionists out there - but I can only think of a handful.

If Israel ever forcibly ceased to exist, there will be a genocide.
