Something bizarre, I saw Karen Straughan interview Chris Cantwell (of VICE fame) from a couple days ago. Not what you'd expect at all. The idea I got from the interview - he was one of the people who probably visually looked the most like a neo-Nazi (probably why VICE snapped him up for an interview) but he comes off, at least in Karen's interview, more ethno-pessimist instead; ie. has black friends, a black ex-girlfriend, formerly associated with a group that was trying to find and target police racism against minorities, etc. but came to the conclusion that he was wrong about key things.
This is part of why I really prefer to hear people out when I can over the media specials, ie. even if it's a hit-piece and the hit-piece is largely right you get no nuance and when you get no nuance you get no clue what you're dealing with, what kinds of people they actually are.
As soon as their hatred of other groups makes them feel like one large group, they can get along okay. As soon as possible, the racist white nationalists will split into smaller groups with stricter boundaries, and start hating each other. Call me an anthro-pessimist.
