Mass shooting in a war context doesn't attract media much, they are considered war massacres or terrorism rather than a 'mass shooting' incident.

The 'civilian' , especially school Mass shootings perpetuated by a schoolmate (and not by a some war faction) had been way more common in the US, according to the news at least.
