Trump supporters indirectly blaming other people for Trump's mental health problems would be "gaslighting" surely? "It's not his fault he's a monster, you made him do it!"

Uhuh, no.

We have to agree to disagree.
My special interest, apart from honesty, objectivity, integrity and telling people how great I am, is psychology. :nerdy:

If you truly understood psychology, then you would understand why people were so angry that Trump won. Trump is a nationalist who wanted to roll back human rights for minorities and people who voted for him were endorsing this. They had a right to be angry. Defending him makes you look bad so you don't get to be the victim here if someone makes a wrong assumption about you.

But some of them who voted for Trump got their karma because they thought somehow his policies wouldn't apply to them but then be surprised when their partner was being deported back to their home country.

I haven’t heard anything. But I thought this was the day scheduled for riots at state capitol buildings ??

Or have attitudes shifted since the trump supporter insurrectionists from DC are all being arrested and charged for their crimes? :?

"Nothing" and that's the problem...The FBI have allowed hundreds of rioters to go home.

Isn’t it better that they’re all at home watching porn instead of breaking into buildings and murdering police officers? :?

The same could be said about the leftist rioters. 8)

Yup.
All extremists are bad news, in my book. 8)

The only police officer & security guard murdered during the BLM protests, that I’m aware of, were murdered by right wing extremist members of the bugaloo movement.

The tricky bit is recognising extremists as extremists, if you partially agree with what they're saying, or have a natural aversion to anything coming back the other way.

Welcome back.

Would be interesting to see if the Trump family penchant for mad conspiracies stems from these QAnon people?

Let's not forget Trump started spouting the Obama birther nonsense 11 years ago. He used to be a long term fan of Steve Bannon who was also a QAnon person for a long time. Now that he's cut links with Bannon we might be getting an insight into what's feeding his crazy crackhead ideas.

You might be more correct than you realize, considering trump is rumoured to use cocaine by day and meth by night. His crackhead ideas might actually be fuelled by crack cocaine.

This is where I think your autism is causing you problems.
I am *not* defending trump.
I am defending the truth. 8)

I am not fussed if people misunderstand my intentions if there is an even playing field in the discussions.
You really should know by now that both Brictoria and myself aren't worried about how many people have a different opinion.
This is an indication of inner strength and not needing to embrace groupthink to feel secure.

I'd rather keep my integrity than make my mates like me. 8)

Until covid, trump was a shoo-in.
The economy was doing well.
The China*s* were put in their place.
Trade deals became more equitable.
Manufacturing was coming back to America.
Nato was forced to pay its fair share.
Trump was able to reduce tensions in the middle east.

The trump administration was doing rooly well until he stuffed up with managing the coronavirus.
A big part of the reason he is rooly pissed orf. 8O

My sources 'told' me that 19 people were killed in the leftist riots.
I will believe them before I believe you due to past experiences.
If you have evidence, provide it.

Do *I* have evidence, apart from my reliable sources?
No, but I don't feel a need to convince you because I have never been able to in the past, no matter what I have provided.
Let us agree to disagree. 8)

He may have won re-election if it weren’t for covid - if enough people were bamboozled by his lies. Covid didn’t happen to trump. trump’s response, or lack thereof, to covid lost him re-election.

trump told you the economy was doing well. It wasn’t for everyone. It was going well for Billionaires and Wall Street investors, but not for Main Street, especially not the manufacturing or agriculture sectors.

http://www.sacbee.com/opinion/editorial ... 93064.html

What is a “China*s*” ? :? Who was put in their place?

Trade deals did not become more equitable. trump doesn’t comprehend what the definitions of trade deficits or tariffs are. Some of the deals he struck favoured America, but many others just alienated America as he pissed everyone off so they told him to pound salt and went and did business with other countries - like when Mexico went to South America to sign purchase agreements for corn after trump snubbed them.

https://www.reuters.com/article/us-trum ... SKCN1G61J4

And his trade war with China has cost the USA 245,000 jobs and many Billions of dollars in losses.

https://www.reuters.com/article/us-usa- ... SKBN29J2O9

trump doesn’t understand that tariffs are not feee paid by other countries, but instead are paid by American importers who buy things from those countries. He thinks he’s taxing China but he’s taxing Americans.

https://www.forbes.com/sites/johnbrinkl ... s-tariffs/

Manufacturing was not coming back to America under trump. It’s possible to incentivize via policy & tax laws etc, but trump didn’t do it.

https://www.epi.org/publication/reshori ... ring-jobs/

In fact, US manufacturing was in a mild recession for all of 2019.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/business ... t-economy/

trump took credit for NATO countries starting to pay more, but there was already an agreement in place 2 years before trump took office that said they had to step to their defence funding.

https://www.defensenews.com/congress/20 ... on-speech/

trump hasn’t reduced much in the way of tensions in the Middle East. A couple real estate development proposals disguised as peace deals and Billions worth of weapons sold to Saudi Arabia to continuing bombing Yemen back into the Stone Age.

https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfr ... -any-peace

The trump administration was not doing really well before coronavirus. The trump administration was telling you that they were doing really well before the coronavirus pandemic. It was all just campaign propaganda lies. To be expected from a president that has LIED publicly more than THIRTY THOUSAND TIMES since taking office 4 years ago.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/graphics ... -database/

It seems you are getting your news from the Australian conservative media that parrot the same lies broadcast on American conservative media. I’ve watched/listened to a bit of both on Facebook Watch - they’re good for a laugh every once in a while.

Let them feel that way. Sucks to be them. I guess the left won.

Once the courts determined there was no case, that should have been the end of it.
trump had a brain fart and couldn't accept it, and lost a lot of support with his shite-stirring.

With so much hate and division in America, on all sides of the political spectrum, during such a devastating pandemic, one can only stand on the sidelines and watch this once great country rapidly and systematically self-destruct with great sadness and disbelief at the sheer stupidity of it all.
