I see a lot of Christian haters on this forum.

As for my statement about God's "Clerical Assistant?" That is just a more PC way of saying his secretary/stenographer. As if to suggest that God dictated His will to a human secretary who in fact is not very trustworthy. I think you confused "Clerical" to mean "Cleric" as in a religious sense. Sorry if I was unclear.
It appears I may have been the one who misunderstood you. I realized just now that I failed to make a visual separation between the Clerical Assistant bit and the Paragraph involving the the Roman Catholic Church. It was meant to be understood, contrary to my lack of better organization, that mankind is the Assistant.
Oh and just because Yeshua was allegedly being quoted as making the claim to Godhood. I would sooner believe it if Yeshua himself had quoted himself in his own account, if one existed that is.
Also I forgot to add that Religion and their patron Deity/Deities are two different 'entities' for lack of a better way of putting it. Religion is the PRACTICES/Actions/Ritualism/Collective application of their Faith's rules and Observation of said Faith; by its followers/witnesses/missionaries/leaders etc. Christianity is NOT analogous with Christ/Messiah/Jesus/Yeshua what have you; and his teachings. Religion is an institution. If those within that institution do vile things it reflects poorly on the institution and its followers. These do NOT however reflect poorly on Christ because his teachings ran contrary to the actions of his abusive followers. The inverse can happen when a follower does live by the teachings. Instead of negatively representing Christianity as a Religious Institution, it reflects favorably on it and those who belong to it. Christianity, the religion, is a hypocrisy because those who have practiced it over the few thousand years it has existed, have to the average observer; completely ignored Christ's teachings; to a greater extent than they have seen those who DO observe those teachings. Negative actions tend to be remembered longer than positive ones by the masses. Christianity, the religion/institution, has done some pretty downright EVIL things. So as I said, organized Religious institutions are largely menacing and detrimental collectives of extremists who make it impossible to differentiate between Religion and its followers, regardless of the presence of those who are 'true' to the original teachings. Religion is made by men to govern other men and their system of values. 'Christ' didn't create Christianity; normal men and women did. And like any authority that infers great power, those who rally under the banner of the Religious collective are given to corruption. My problem isn't with your Christ. My problem is with your institution.
I was a Christian once. But I became disenchanted with the religion because of what I observed in its 'followers'. Most seem to think that being saved means you can do whatever you want and get away with it, so long as you ask for forgiveness afterward. I realized that I myself was less than a shining example of Christ's teachings. I did not feel it was right to call oneself a follower of Christ if you continued to repeat the same 'sins' over and over and over. Repenting means to admit you were wrong and to not do it again. I didn't observe this dynamic among those who called themselves Christians. So I decided that the institution was a failure because it was not serving its advertised purpose. So I walked away.
I deeply regret finding myself continuing this discussion, But I wanted to address as many arguments given to my original post as possible and make them as clear as possible. So instead of adding to the post I made prior to this one. I had to append this bit of debate to it via another post. So with that I do believe I have covered everything that needed it. Therefore I see no reason I should need to add anything more before stepping away from the discussion and being done with it. I hope not to make myself a liar a second time by making any more posts in this thread. Goodnight.
