True. But I'll give him the benefit of the doubt in the meantime. Rather than taking a default attitude that he's already the worst president we ever had, that he should be impeached already, the endless Hitler comparisons, comparing a presidency that hasn't even started yet to things like the Holocaust and 9/11.
I'm not directing that at you dearest auntblabby (I really like you a lot if you don't mind my saying so) it's just the overall impression I get from all the sources I'm tapped into. And it really troubles me a lot.

That's pretty much where I'm at, at least give the guy a change to legitimately screw up before getting hysterical.

What were their odds on him being president in the first place? What I sense from the man is strength, determination and perseverance. For whatever that's worth. But my guess is he will neither be a good as some hope or as bad as some fear.

Speech was angry populism. Appointments mostly reflect Pence who headed the transition team.
I have seen a lot of supporters praising the speech. A lot of them yelled "lock her up" during the campaign and continue to go on and on about what vicious criminals they are. I have not seen too many Trump supporters are talking about these remarks made one hour after tearing apart the establishment.
I hate it, but I understand the whole peaceful transfer of power and being classy but this went above and beyond. This was truly puke inducing.

Hillary deserves credit for putting on a brave face and being there but that doesn't mean if criminal wrongdoing is found on her & her husband's part that they won't be held accountable. It's one thing for a private citizen to say something but whole other thing for the president, there is a legal process and it's important for Trump to not be involved with it personally. I am not interested in witch hunts when nothing is there, either there is something to the allegations or there isn't and if there isn't there are plenty of other big fish to fry. I'll trust Trump's DOJ and congress to fully investigate these matters, I don't believe they would sweep something under the rug and there won't be any tarmac meetings with the AG either.
FWIW, George W Bush was booed mercilessly at Obama's inauguration in 2009 too so it seems to be a trend.
Trump's speech was a reiteration of the principles he ran on, call that 'angry populism' if you want but Trump has stayed true to his word and isn't changing for anybody. The speech was sort of boring to me since it was a toned down version of what he said at almost every rally but a more solemn tone should be expected, it signals to me that Trump intends to do what he said he would do.

We are already half way or more there. Based on his inauguration speech (and many others), this is the sort of dystopian future Trump is determined to turn America away from.
Hahahaha! Liberals take "America first" to mean Trump wants to destroy America by making America first. That makes sense. If you want to criticize his cabinet picks, that's one thing but this is absurd. "It's time to bring back jobs." OMG Trump wants to destroy America by bringing jobs back. Did we listen to the same speech? Maybe this forum has crossed over into some alternative universe.
except that jobs have ALREADY been brought back. unemployment is very low. trump painted a negative present that doesn't exist in his inauguration speech. crime is also low. he's planning to fix what isn't broken.

What jobs did Obama bring back? Also, giving amnesty to illegals HURTS jobs for the poor, specifically blacks in poor urban areas.
