None of which has any relevance to what we're discussing. Northern Ireland's people were mainly happy in the UK, although a significant minority weren't. They instituted a 30-year-long campaign of terror on their fellow Irishmen in order to force them into bending to their will. (And Loyalist Irishmen retaliated by butchering innocent Catholics in order to get them to stop.)

So reaching deep, deep in the historical past looking for an excuse to murder people who had nothing to do with the events that happened back then is alright by you is it?

By that yardstick, a Native American terrorist group could murder you due to some disgusting atrocity one of your long-dead ancestors committed.

It's just an excuse for bigotry and hate.

Seeing how I am Native American descant they will not target me. The British gave the Irish a reason I mean who wouldn't get mad for lives of innocent irish protesters. Being gundown for simply protesting in a peacful manner?
Didn't the IRA kill some civilian's? Would you have been born if it were not for colonists invading Native American land in the beginning?

So should all people with German ancestry be punished for something hitler caused?

They already are.

Are you sure you have no planter blood in you? Even if they weren't, these terrorists probably wouldn't care what you were too much anyway. They're not going to look for a family tree before they off you.

What the British forces did that day was wrong. However, hundreds of people a year were being killed at that time by republican and loyalist terrorists. An RUC police officer was killed in Londonderry very shortly before the march. Soldiers were under fire that day. So, whilst I think it's disgraceful what the soldiers did - and the fact that no-one will be prosecuted is even more so - it has to be looked at what happened since then. The British Army spent 30 years trying to stop certain Irishmen from butchering each other - no easy task. Without the Army (and the police) Northern Ireland could well have gone into full civil war.

And as for "the British gave the Irish a reason" - what the British might or might not have done 400 years ago shouldn't be used as an excuse to murder people who had nothing to do with any of those things.

It shouldn't your right but like I said you reap what you sow.

No, they're not. A few football hooligans sing silly songs about it at football matches but the vast majority of people look on those types with scorn.

The Germans are a nice enough and friendly people, just like any country. Their government, however, is another matter.

The German government isn't that bad.

Given that you've gone on record publicly supporting the republican murder campaign in Ireland and further afield and have openly said you supported the German neo-Nazi NPD, I think you have very little to shout about.

No-one blames Germans today for what people 70 years ago did. And if they do, they're considered hateful, horrible bigots who are thoroughly laughed at and ridiculed.

Or what happened in Rwanda. Or the Sudan. Or what's happening in the Congo now.

Northern Ireland's conflict is small potatoes, relatively speaking, compared to the savagery that is happening in the Congo. The only difference is that it happened in a fairly well-developed part of a Western country.

Keep in mind that what happened in Rwanda back in 1994 was Not a religious war. It was a power struggle between 2 rival ethnic groups. Much of sub-saharan Africa has been suffering from political violence and frequent tribal wars since the 1960s and this isn't just because of post-colonial instability, it also has to do with the battle to control natural resources and climatic disturbances in food production. There are a lot of differences between Rwanda, Sudan, and Bosnia/NI besides the location.

Bosnia was the worst violent conflict seen in Europe since World War II.

The Northern Irish conflict wasn't either.

I'm willing to bet that if we dig deep enough in your family tree we'll find some English, Scottish, Cornish or Welsh in there. And that should give plenty of reason for your IRA heroes to hoist you on your own petard.

After all, let the sins of the father be visited on the son even unto the seventh generation.

I have a book about my family history not one trace of English Scottish Cornish or Welsh in my family tree.
