I thought US pop = 340M *.29 = 98.6.

But ok, 330M so *.29 = 95.7M Americans approve of trump’s job as president.

Bizarre!! How tf can it possibly still be so high?

People under 18 are not included in the polls....at least knowingly.

One has to determine the population of the US, minus the population who are under 18.

The US has approximately 330 million people, totally.

I am more curious as to why his approval rating is higher than the number of popular votes he received.

(By the way ... I used actual census numbers, not rounded estimates.)

I came up with 60M on the high side. That is 29 percent of a 209M population for Americans over the age of 18. And I still didn't look yet for how many of those 209M don't vote for one reason or another.

Just looked it up, only 153M registered voters, so 153M x .29 equals 44.3M

Well, we could all analyze the whys and wherefores of Donald Trump's defeat until Hell freezes over, but that is the bottom line: Donald J. Trump was defeated in a fair and legal election, and he is no longer President.  Now he has gone off to Florida to sulk, lick his wounds, and wait to be served with a warrant for his arrest.

I wonder if he will try to fight extradition ...

So...did any craziness happen? If so, could someone point me to a YouTube video of said crazies being arrested so I can grab some popcorn and enjoy watching the scene unfold? 8)

Armed protests. You have to bring your arms with you as they are joined to your sholders.

Sadly, no MAGAs were arrested in the process of this inauguration.  I think that either all of the stupid ones were arrested for the January 6th coup attempt, or all of the smart ones took the hint and stayed home.

No matter how you slice it, a 29% approval rating is far too high. Wtf, America? :?

Hey, stop picking on our political minorities!

Some of them may have feelings, you know ...

Ah, pity. I really liked that one faux shaman guy's outfit. He really made my week on January 6th. I was hoping for more colourful personalities to show up today in at least one State capital and do something entertaining. 8) Oh well, life goes on, I suppose. At least Trump supporters on YouTube are keeping me entertained with their somehow inability to mount even a basic counterargument.

I guess it must be difficult to mount a basic counterargument when one's entire career has been based on simply repeating what Dear Leader has tweeted, and suddenly Dear Leader can no longer tweet.

Maybe they could get new jobs in the fast-food industry as drive-through clerks...

Approximately 155 million people voted in the election. That's less than half the population of the United States.

Approximately 66% of eligible voters voted in the 2020 election.

The results of the poll indicate that 29% of people over 18 in the United States approve of Trump. Less than 5,000 people, probably, participated in the poll.

The population of people over 18, in the US, is approximately 235 million.

235 million x 0.29 = 68 million.
