According that article an 'antivillian' is an adversary of an 'antihero'.

Like Tom Hanks in "Catch Me If You Can".

Alex Jones does not fit that description.

AJ is pretty much just a 'villain'.

There should be enough material on him alone to fill several topics.

An odd connection between Alex Jones and the recently-destroyed Georgia Guidestones:

Alex Jones, the incendiary conspiracist and Infowars host, visited the attraction in 2020 and called it "the birthplace of the modern depopulation movement," referring to an inscription on the granite that called for keeping the Earth's population under 500 million.

He seems to have only added his own voice to the maddened crowd, and did not start the rumor.

UPDATE (2022-07-25):

AUSTIN, Texas (AP) -- Jury selection is set for Monday in a trial that will determine for the first time how much Infowars host Alex Jones must pay Sandy Hook Elementary School parents for falsely telling his audience that the deadliest classroom shooting in U.S. history was a hoax.

The trial in Austin, Texas -- where the conspiracy theorist lives and broadcasts his show -- follows months of delays.  Jones has racked up fines for ignoring court orders and he put Infowars into bankruptcy protection just before the trial was originally set to start in April.

At stake for Jones is another potentially major financial blow that could put his constellation of conspiracy peddling businesses into deeper jeopardy.  He has already been banned from YouTube, Facebook, and Spotify over violating hate-speech policies.

The trial involving the parents of two Sandy Hook families is only the start for Jones; damages have yet to be awarded in separate defamation cases for other families of the 2012 massacre in Newtown, Connecticut.

Hate speech needs to carry criminal charges, not just deplatforming.

Alex Jones needs to rot in jail for the damage he's caused. And on a more personal level, he brainwashed my best friend.

That would certainly depopulate the Senate and most red-state legislatures.

Sandy Hook parents ask jury to return $150 million verdict in defamation suit against Alex Jones

Quote:
The lawyer for two Sandy Hook families that have sued right-wing conspiracy theorist Alex Jones asked a jury on Tuesday to award his clients $150 million in damages in a trial that will determine how much money they receive.

"Now that is a huge verdict to be sure, but it is one that will do justice to the level of harm done in this case," Mark Bankston, the attorney for the plaintiffs, said in his opening statement.

"Harm that was done to the parents, grieving parents of murdered children who have had to endure for 10 years, the most despicable and vile campaign of defamation and slander in American history," Bankston added.

Bankston said the $150 million figure amounted to $1 for each person who believes false information about the Sandy Hook shooting pushed by Jones, which he argued is about 75 million. The additional $75 million would be to compensate the parents for the emotional and mental anguish they've endured over the last decade due to harassment from Jones and his followers.

Jones, who is also being sued in Connecticut by the families of other Sandy Hook victims, was found legally responsible in October for false claims he made about the tragedy that claimed 26 lives.

The judge in the case, Travis County District Court Judge Maya Guerra Gamble, issued default judgments against Jones because he refused to comply with court orders.

Bankston also walked the jury through what he said was a decade-long timeline of Jones' efforts to push the Sandy Hook hoax narrative, saying that despite a public plea from one of the parents to Jones asking the radio host to stop spreading false information, Jones "doubled down," targeting the parent in video content and calling him an actor lying about having a child who'd died in the shooting.

In his own opening statement, Andino Reynal, an attorney for Jones, accused the plaintiffs' lawyer of misleading the court.
"What we heard was a conspiracy of lies," Reynal said of Bankston's opening remarks.

Reynal sought to portray Jones as someone who had merely made mistakes when covering the Sandy Hook shooting and suggested the quick nature of the news cycle was in part to blame.

"If you understand the news cycle and how it works, commentators, people on talk shows, they get information, they run with it," Reynal said. "Alex Jones was wrong to believe these people. But he didn't do it out of spite."

"The evidence will show he did it because he believed it because he thought it was important coverage," Reynal added.

Thousands of people were questioning the shooting, not just Jones, Reynal argued, due to what he called "bad coverage" by the mainstream media.

"Alex Jones doesn't trust the government. Millions of Americans don't trust the government," Reynal said.
Evidence to be presented during the trial will show Jones didn't cause harassment of the parents, Reynal said. He also questioned whether the parents heard Jones' content about the school shooting.

Reynal said he is "honored" to represent Jones and his company, Free Speech Systems.

"He is one of the most polarizing figures in this nation," Reynal said. "And I am honored to represent him not because I agree with everything he says, but I agree with his right to say it and I agree with every Americans right to choose what they watch and listen to and what they believe."

During the proceedings on Tuesday, Gamble admonished Jones for speaking to the news media during a recess.
"We're not going to have that happen again," Gamble said.

Gamble said every participant in the trial is "ordered to be silent" about the case when outside the courtroom "or if there is any member of the jury in sight."

While "Lots of People" do not believe the Sandy Hook massacre was real, only one of them used his own media platform on the public airwaves to spread lies and slander without regard to the consequences -- Alex Jones.

Alex Jones Does Not Know When to Keep His Mouth Shut

Alex Jones, the disinformation disseminator and InfoWars host, is facing yet another defamation trial in Texas, where InfoWars is based.  The civil trial began Tuesday, and is meant to determine how much money in damages Jones owes to parents of victims killed in the 2012 mass shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Connecticut.

On Monday, Jones' lawyer hinted that the defendant would likely be absent from the beginning of the trial because of unspecified "medical issues".  However, he showed up to the first day of trial proceedings, nonetheless, and he quickly proceeded to anger the judge.

"This is a kangaroo court!  This is a political action!  It's a witch hunt!", Jones said to reporters during a short trial recess before stomping away.  The exchange was captured on video and posted on Twitter by Fox 7 Austin reporter, Bridget Spencer.

Jones was quickly reprimanded by the trial judge for speaking to media. "We're not going to have that again", said District Judge Maya Gamble.  "Every participant in this trial is ordered to be silent out of this courtroom, or if there is any member of the jury in sight."

Alex Jones likens himself to Jesus Christ in wild dystopian rant.

Alex Jones threw an unhinged tirade on Thursday (2022-07-28) afternoon about what he believes lies ahead for humanity and advances in artificial intelligence.  Jones was also involved with the January 6th, 2021 coup attempt at the United States Capitol.  Here is his "prophetic" rant:

"I am a human supremacist.  I am a human supremacist!"

"That term will be the future war with the robots and the AI.  What you're hearing now is the entire future and everything they've tried to stop us from doing.  Our supremacy will not end with this planet.  We will people the stars. We will colonize.  We will green dead worlds.  We will go interdimensional.  We will unlock the secrets of the Universe,"

"God has laid them out like Christmas presents for his children and I am extremely honored to be in the fulcrum and the heart of the fight to bring our race -- the human race -- in a race for the future.  I am honored to be here.  And we will break the enemy.  We will break the pedophiles.  We will break the Satanists because God already sent his own self down here to show us he could do it."

"God would never ask us to go through an obstacle course he wouldn't go through. And now we're gonna go through what Christ did.  And we're gonna go through it and we're gonna be destroyed but reborn on the other side."

A video of his rant can be found on Twitter (

UPDATE (2022-08-03): Alex Jones concedes Sandy Hook Elementary School attack was '100% real'.

Conspiracy theorist Alex Jones said Wednesday that he now understands it was irresponsible of him to declare the Sandy Hook Elementary School massacre a hoax and that he now believes it was "100% real," a day after the parents of a 6-year-old boy killed in the attack testified about the suffering, death threats and harassment they have endured because of what Jones has trumpeted on his media platforms.

"It was . . . especially since I've met the parents.  It's 100% real," Jones testified at his trial to determine how much he owes for defaming the parents of a 6-year-old who was among the 20 students and six educators killed in the 2012 attack at the school in Newtown, Connecticut.

But the parents who sued Jones said a day earlier that an apology wouldn't be enough and that the Infowars host needed to be held accountable for repeatedly spreading falsehoods about the attack. They are seeking at least $150 million.

Jones later took the stand and was initially combative with the judge, who had asked him to answer his own attorney's question.

Later, the judge sent the jury out of the room and strongly scolded Jones for telling the jury he had complied with pretrial evidence gathering even though he did not and that he is bankrupt.

"This is not your show," Judge Maya Guerra Gamble told Jones.  "Your beliefs do not make something true.  You are under oath."

I sincerely hope this raving idiot is figuratively ground into dust, can't even get a job serving fries, and remains in penniless isolation for the rest of his miserable existence.

Look the parents of the kids killed at Sandy Hook in the eye.
Behold your works, Jones. D'you feel proud yet?

If Alex Jones arrived at my house for dinner as the "Plus One" of an invited guest, I would make him eat leftovers . . .

. . . from the previous week

. . . on the back steps

. . . off a paper plate

. . . with his fingers

. . . alone

. . . in the rain

. . . and with the door locked and barred behind him.

 Hey, I am not totally evil; at least he would be getting a free meal!

Alex Jones Gets Scolded During Really Crappy Day in Court

Quote:
Jones went so far as to take potshots at the families from afar, calling them “pawns” in an episode of his Infowars show that aired Tuesday, according to Media Matters for America. He claimed that Heslin was autistic, saying he thought the father was acting “like somebody on the spectrum.”

Later in the episode, an aggrieved Jones blasted Gamble and the lawyers representing Lewis’ parents, calling them “caricatures of what you would imagine in some alternate universe of dwarf goblins.”

“It’s demonic,” he added. “They all act demonically possessed. The judge, the lawyers. It’s surreal to be around them. And it makes you feel sorry for them because these people are committed to occult ideology of the new world order.”

After Gamble dismissed the jury for the day, Scarlett Lewis approached Jones to hand him a bottle of water. He shook hands with her and Neil Heslin, who trailed behind. In the slightly garbled audio of the livestreamed trial, Jones appeared to apologize “for today.” He began to tell Heslin, “I think people have been—a lot of the stuff you said has been manipulated—” when Bankston, the platinffs' lawyer, stepped in.

“That’s it. We’re not talking to you. And you’re not doing this,” he snapped. “That’s not even a thought. That’s not the way this goes.”

“Why? So you can’t feed ’em fake videos anymore?” Jones asked. When told to shut up, he continued: “That’s what you’re trying to do, shut my mouth. You’ll never succeed.”

Someone in the courtroom—it was unclear from the video feed—then brought up Jones’ claim that Heslin was autistic. “Hey, I think I’m autistic too, buddy,” Jones called at the plaintiffs as they filed out of the courtroom.

Imagine that: Jones’ own lawyers are trying to cancel him, too!

A lawyer representing a Sandy Hook family in the defamation damages trial of Alex Jones revealed in court Wednesday that attorneys for the far-right Infowars host shared years worth of his text messages.

Attorney Mark Bankston asked Jones if he was aware that 12 days prior, his lawyers "messed up and sent me an entire digital copy of your entire cell phone with every text message you've sent for the past two years, and when informed, did not take any steps to identify it as privileged or protected in any way?"

Bankston said that these messages "fell free and clear into my possession" as of two days ago and that they proved Jones lied to him when he said that he didn't have any text messages about Sandy Hook

Many years ago, it was said of Howard Stern that he couldn't lose as a shock jock because his fans listened to him 4 hours a day to hear whatever outrageous thing he'd say next, while his detractors, would listen to him 4 hours a day to hear whatever outrageous thing he'd say next. Similar dynamic going on here.
