Nah. Although related, they are two different things...though I really do not know much about it. ShawnWilliam should start a thread on the topic. I do not see it being a big commercial product in the US any time real soon but from what I understand; it is commercially grown in Canada but strongly regulated. I would like to know more about it. I have read that the plant has been engineered to produce finer fibers so it makes a better textile now. I wonder what the price comparison would be of a hemp shirt to a cotton or rayon one? Hmmm...off to Google.

He didn't say he was a stoner. Hemp is an incredibly versatile raw material every-which-way you look at it. I'm sure your robot overlords would find it of plenty utility.

* incorrigibility (not changeable by compelling counterargument or proof to the contrary)
* impossibility or falsity of content (implausible, bizarre or patently untrue)

I think your views fit those criteria pretty nicely.

And seeing as you have posted the link to DARPA's IPTO project about four times already, yes, I'm aware of it, and was aware of similar projects beforehand. This doesn't mean that you, or anybody else is going to initiate planetary extinction through mass-manufacture of death-robots for quite some time. What DARPA is creating is essentially a gigantic information-processing system for relaying battlefield data. Sure, it deals with decision-making and cognitive processing, but that does in no way equate to self-awareness or autonomy. And somehow, I don't think someone who peruses Internet forums for such long periods of time is going to be the man to change that anytime soon.
