Teenagers are normal people too. That doesn't mean they don't have issues that are mostly unique to their group

Why is it that you care so much?

Are you saying being gay or transexual is a temporary phase of life? Teenagers are full of hormones, so things can be very difficult for them. Teenagers aren't asking for extra special rights cause they're teenagers. Everyone is a teenager in their life, unless they die before that. Not everyone is gay or transexual. But the main point is about transexuals, they want to be seen as the person they feel they are inside.

ok What about disabled people? And no I am not saying being gay/trans is a disability. Just another example of people who are equal to everyone else and normal individuals, but have different issues they may want to discuss

Your comparisons are getting better each time  I doubt they'd want a disabled forum, they'd probably just have sense to post their issue in a forum that suited their topic.

Ok see how difficult it can be, when people take everything literally!? I know its an aspie trait, so I should be more sympathetic. Who is them? you do not want anything for yourself you just want to take the LGBT group from them?

if this is the them you are refering to the them it a pronoun used to avoid the construction ... take the LGBT group from the members of the LGBT group.

is it the lack of symmetry that bothers you? things like that bug the hell of of me.
it helps me to think of it as an ad hoc construction rather than a masterplan.

But who are they? They want to be seen as normal people, thats my point.

how do you know what they want I assume there is a range of wants from lesbian separatism to normalism.

Goproud to Queer Anarchism.

whose ox has been gored?

Well both of those would prove my point. If some also want to be seen as seperate, thats wanting supremacy.

you use the language of intention too much for my taste.
is the idea gays are ok as long as they act straight.
blacks are ok as long as thay act white.
Jews are ok as long as they act Goy.
aspies are ok as long as they act NT.
Minorities are ok as long as they are invisible?

whose ox has been gored?

So your opinion's count, but people's against the forum don't? I guess thats fair

why are you only whining about the LGBT forum, and not every other specific sub-forum?

[this is a rhetorical question, we all know the answer]

You're really questioning my language?
So what are you saying, that straight is normal, but gay isn't? I didn't think there was really a difference, apart from the sex of the person they were attracted to? And comparing aspies with blacks is pathetic. Well its racist saying black people act differently to white people isn't it?? I kept thinking we're judged on the content of our character, not our colour or sexuality. Please tell me the minorites you mean.

There is only one other, apart from the women's forum, that i've also complained about. So you're comparing sexuality and gender with tourettes and mental illness?

Yeah, good one above. Although i've exlained that its a case of not wanting a GBLT forum, rather than wanting a straight forum. I was just pointing out the double standards and supremacy of the "minorities".

Murphy does not want a straight forum he wants to get rid of the gay one.
you should have said that in the begining.
if you don't like it stop using it.

He did say that somewhere somehow, but it's a ridiculous argument. If you eliminate forums created for minorities or special interests, you eliminate Wrong Planet. This entire place is for a minority / special interest group, of a sort, at least.
