pi's infinite and can't be contained in a book. it's irrational and and doesn't terminate, so how can a book even record pi if it never ends???

We've already established that. I just think if God existed, He would've 'proved' his own existence by giving a mathematically incompetent people a more accurate approximation than they were capable of producing on their own.

I agree with you that the fact that the Bible states Pi only as 3 is one of the reasons I doubt the Bible's divine inspiration. Even if Pi = 3 is still correct.

Most religious folks stubbornly cling to midevil belief as opposed to modern scientificly logical thinking and factual data. God *Allah* has yet to prove its existence as with unicorns fairies and dragons

Can there be different levels of 'correct'? Just wondering.

Yeah, I'm sure there are. For example, Pi = 3.14 would still be more "correct" than just Pi = 3, and Pi = 3.14159 even more so.

Another example, me being 29 years of age may be considered correct, but me being 29 years and 10 months of age may be more correct.

I guess it just depends on how one sees it all.

Well, that depends on how you define a "year".

I would say that, yes. If the Earth is much older than 10,000 years (which it definitely is based on scientific evidence), there's nothing correct about the Earth being less than that.

I may be 29 years of age with a few extra months to boot, but I'm definitely less than 40 years of age and definitely more than 10 years of age.

Unless ... we're speaking of a different unconventional standard measure for years.

If God was using a different measurement, it would be nice of it/Him/Her to make that explicit.

You might not be making it up, but I suspect someone did originally.

why are the only hadiths that you believe revolve around bashing the prophet but not the hadiths which beautify him?? Abdullah ibn Salam's account of his story was that after he scrutinized the prophet's face he accepted Islam. he said it. i didnt. look up his account on why he accepted Islam.

No, I think they all may be made up, even the ones used for 'bashing' him. The issue I have is that Muslims usually believe the whole lot, not just the 'beautifying' ones.

as long as the hadith is authentically narrated and the chain of narration is precise, accurate and from a trustworthy chain where all the narrators are strong reliable narrators then the hadiths are to be believed in full.
