I think that's going into the "favorite quotes" thread.

I keep a file on my thumbdrive of amusing one liners & short quotes; Fnord's has been added to the top of the list.

It feels so wonderfully like the dragons-crunchy-ketchup one from many years ago that was itself based on Tolkien's "Do not meddle in the affairs of Wizards, for they are subtle and quick to anger."

Very nice, Fnord. Very nice! :-)

So, you're now breaching mod-member privilege in order to smear a member as a hypocrite? Nice, really shows the membership that you've got their best interests at heart, and that they can come to you in confidence, knowing their confidentiality will hold up at least until you want to humiliate them in an argument.

There's also nothing hypocritical about believing in free speech, but when interacting in private spaces that do have restrictions, wanting to see them applied fairly, such as the constant anti-southern sniping that goes unchecked but would be modded in a hot minute if it targeted a different regional culture. That gets old real fast.

It wasn't a "private" complaint.

It was posted in the mod attention thread for all the world to see.

*sigh*

Does it matter? You're using the fact that a member came to you with an issue to attack them personally; seems inappropriate at best.

You also ignored my assertion that it wasn't even hypocritical for OOM to come to you given the lopsided enforcement concerning attacks on different cultures.

As well you know. Tell me, Fnord; as someone else who found themself on the bad end of a questionable ban, do you suck up to the mods out of self preservation, or just because you always side with authority?

Yes, it does matter. You claimed she "came to us in confidence" when that wasn't the case at all.

And I ignored your assertion because I didn't find it particularly accurate or relevant.

This thread seems to have been infected with the "contentious negativity virus" to a critical mass point of no return. I hope everyone had a chance to articulate their views on the topic earlier in it, as locking it seems timely now. Once a thread of this length spirals into accusation and counter accusation, there's usually no curative phase.
