i've read over the years, that lifestyle changes are insufficient, what is long-known to be needed is politically incorrect but here goes- a drastic reduction in human and animal population. whether this is self-imposed or imposed from without, is in our power, at least in theory.

Agenda 21 on steroids with a fascist salute.

The "21" in Agenda 21 refers to the 21st century. It has been affirmed and had a few modifications at subsequent UN conferences. Its aim is achieving global sustainable development. One major objective of the Agenda 21 initiative is that every local government should draw its own local Agenda 21. Since 2015, Sustainable Development Goals are included in the Agenda 2030.[citation needed] https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Agenda_21

Green space, clean energy, increased urban density...and global dictatorship. It’s hard to see how all of these things could connect, but — according to a popular right wing conspiracy theory — a UN resolution aimed at sustainable development could pave the way.
Theorists argue that Agenda 21, a 23-year-old non-binding UN resolution that suggests ways for governments and NGOs to promote sustainable development, is the linchpin in a plot to subjugate humanity under an eco-totalitarian regime. One of its most outspoken critics, American Policy Center president Tom DeWeese, has described the resolution as “a new kind of tyranny that, if not stopped, will surely lead us to a new Dark Ages of pain and misery yet unknown to mankind”. https://www.theguardian.com/sustainable ... ainability

I'm not trying to pick on you, but here's what the actual summary of the report says
Ahhh sorry I missed this response. Yes the report isn't the best, have a read of the last Danish article on benthic diatoms used as tools to profile historic climate change.

None of the forecasts on how we can reach net zero require us to reduce our population.
I think some may suggest a decrease in the number of agricultural mammals.
The planet is more than capable of supporting 10bn humans if we live clean and sustainable lifestyles. Those lifestyles can realistically be achieved and while there might be some areas where you could argue that the standard of living declines (less meat, fewer flights), this would be compensated for by cheap and abundant electricity.
On the other hand, 1bn people living like modern Americans would not be sustainable for very long.
The benefits of family planning broadly accrue to the individual and do not exist at an international level.

I'm afraid of both the left and the right. I don't want an actual violent war to happen between the extremists on both sides. I think I would be a dead man if that happened and my family would possibly be hurt or killed too. ![]()
