I didn't say legally, I said society.
Don't understand why my posts were edited either - explains my point entirely! Certain words are socially banned for good reason and 'creep' desperately needs to be added to that black list.

Something like that, I think it would've been easier if the first video I'd seen from her had not been her discussing "the necessity of domestic violence" and demanding victims take on some blame, et cetera, et cetera. It was easy to stop paying attention when I realized she was not joking at all.

Racial slurs carry less ambiguity, I think, in meaning/intent than the word creep.

I'm not going to go in circles with anyone about this again. What I've said is that you can't decide whether or not someone else uses the word creep or how they're allowed to use it. When you hear someone calling another person creepy, you can decide then how you view the situation and whether or not it was warranted, and if you want, you can even say "Hey, that was uncalled for", but you can't stop that person from using the word creep. Be offended, that's fine, still no control over what others are saying.

So you can't decide how a person uses the words sexy, whore, slut, c**t, etc. A person can say whatever s/he wants no matter how other people are affected and nobody can stop them?

That's how socializing outside of a workplace or school environment has always gone for me. Well, even in a workplace or school environment no one seems to care much if they hear the words you related to it, but even in those situations I would avoid people who called others sluts or whores or whatever.

If it's not a threat,(as in "I'm going to kill/otherwise harm you, you creep.") really, all you can do is rely on a social circle or whatever people are around to say something if the word creep is being hurled at someone as a verbal attack, or to socially reject the person saying it, and move on. You can use your better judgement and stay away from people who use words in a hateful or hurtful way, and you can ask them to stay away from you, you can ask them not to say it, but you can't make them stop saying it.

It's anti-social behavior in the first place. I think it works best just to avoid socializing with someone if they're frequently calling people creeps and there doesn't seem to be any real reason behind it.

What about women invading men's boundaries?
Or is it impossible for a woman to sexually harass a male (rhetorical question)?

Still creepy, regardless of gender, though sexual harassment is not required for making a person feel threatened/unsafe etc. etc. etc.

I agree to a point, some offensive words are plain offensive, but others are very vague, some, deliberately so.

It happens occasionally. When it does, it's not ok.

Be that as it may, I'm really not aware of any video of hers that actually apologizes for domestic violence. People who say that she supports domestic violence usually just quote that one comment she made on reddit. Perhaps you're talking about that one video where she claims that domestic violence was never truly accepted? Not that what she says is true or not but just saying.

Applying a denigrating label is much easier than answering her specific points, isn't it?

Her videos are quite lengthy, from what I've seen. Forming an opinion based on the numerous things I've come across that she's either written or spoken is MUCH easier than watching a twenty minute video and responding to her here, where she is not even participating in conversation.

Really though, her entire schtick is being a female misogynist, so yeah, just like certain members here, I don't see any point in replying after seeing enough of what she has to say. I get the impression she's mostly trolling.

I just wouldn't worry about it. if you know you're not a creep, that's all that matters. Don't let fear of other peoples perceptions make you act weird.

Too bad it doesn't work that way. The word has very real consequences, as has been stated over and over.....and over again.

It's not like if you got called a poophead or something. That blows over. But "creep" doesn't blow over.

Well u don't do this so other people treat u the right way. You do this for your own sanity despite what others think. If they want to think you're a creep, that'sd their problem. If you know you're not actually a creep, then don't fret over it. Life is too short to get caught in other peoples hang ups. Find other people that respect you and don't let disrespectful people damage your chances of finding people who will respect you. Wallowing in self pitty doesn't do anyone any good.

Also, if someone calls you a creep, they've probably forgot about by the time you feel affected by it days or weeks later. Call them an asshat, and just move on,

Yah, i don't like her videos either. I had to turn it off when she started describing marriage as a sexual property agreement. She's just an attension whore and isn't solving anything, just making people mad at half the population, much like politics in general.
