I love when people lack the self-awareness to realize it'll happen to their positions too eventually.

I'm sure your solution is illegalize the robots.

When AI can replace my mind, I will be long out of time on earth. I will welcome it BTW. It will not matter then as it can take over the reigns for all I care. My thinking skills are hard to replace that way.

You sound like all those boomers who don't care about climate change because they'll be dead soon.

f**k y'all, I got mine isn't a healthy attitude to go through life with but good luck with it.

No, I had to earn my way in life. So should everyone else.

As for climate change, I have experience in environmental chemistry. I can adapt to my job as needed.

A society guaranteeing a bare minimum to help people reach their full potential doesn't imply that no one would 'earn their way in life', but I guess if we start from a flawed premise it shouldn't be surprising that the conclusions reached are also flawed.

Once the robots become self-aware they will strike.

I'm pretty sure I've already mentioned that I believe it's inevitable and as a result should be planned for.

And then the parasite class will threaten to hire humans to replace them.

The healthcare field will always need actual people to work in it.

Robots cannot wipe a person’s butt.

This is true too.

Some folks would argue that the least number of people possible should hold those positions and work as many hours as possible to meet demands, others would argue that more people should be hired for fewer hours each in that circumstance.

Because they are stealing another person’s job when they cross a picket line…
WRONG. Jobs are not property, so they cannot be stolen.

Employment is a privilege granted by the employer; the employer can revoke that privilege and grant it to another.

Even tenured professors at universities can be let go. It no longer needs to be “of cause” if the university runs out of funding. Jobs are not guaranteed unless you are your own boss. Even then, your company may still go under with you at the helm.

No, but self cleaning clothing can be designed to do it instead. I have an idea for an invention that I may play into that arena someday.

If you recognize it as a problem why would you perpetuate it? :chin:
