I'm not happy with fighting either, but when things don't make sense I merely try to understand them but I have also discovered that religious people simply are illogical and there is no way to get them to use reason.

If I understand what Victor Stenger had to say, the most commonly used formal definition of information, Shannon information, is inverse entropy. Entropy is not conserved. There are other definitions, for other applications. Do you have a definition in mind, and is there reason to believe that information so defined is conserved, and that it is linked to consciousness?
