I haven't seen much that looked all that peaceful. Even if there isn't outright vandalism and psychical stuff, there's lots of shouting and general commotion. They really plagued the airports, made things really difficult on everyone traveling. Total public nuisance stuff.

I suppose you would complain about the civil rights marches in the sixties,all that shouting and commotion,people getting sprayed by hoses,bitten by dogs,beat down by cops.
I've seen footage of plenty of peaceful people marching,maybe you should stop googling violent protests.
Nothing wrong with protesting at airports,I beleive that was done before when the air traffic controllers went on strike.Nothing wrong with peaceful marches at the Super Bowl,not like it's sacred ground.
None of these actions are actually new,people have done this before.Yet you act like its the first time you have ever seen civil unrest.Oh yeah,it probably is.

My first march was urging the University of Texas to divest from apartheid South Africa. Weird that I'm the same age as Gorsuch, who at the time was calling me an idiot or something. We didn't have large numbers, and didn't run into much opposition. I did have some serious cognitive dissonance when a huge black linebacker stood up and told us that none of the white guys should talk about it, since he didn't care.

At some point, either right before or right after I started going along to marches, some committed folks took over the President's office, and became known as the UT 16.

My life was moving pretty fast at that time, and so were historical events. News of Stephen Biko's death was spreading around the world, so I just happened to be in the right place at the right time on the winning side.

Any moves toward an apartheid USA will definitely get me back out into the streets.

There's always been a social apartheid in the USA based on race. Now with Trump there will also be a class based distinction as well.

Donald Snr and his kids have never had to put in a hard day's work in their life. They live in a bubble of exclusion from Americans who aren't multi-millionaires with their gold plated toilets and coiffured lifestyles.What amuses me is the illiterate unemployed, uneducated, struggling rural white voters who think they have something in common with the Trump family.

Certain places maintain apartheid as long as possible, like that golf course in Georgia, but it's always been a localized phenomenon in the US. The first self made millionaire woman in the US was black. At that time, the apartheid was the rule, but the exceptions have grown over time. The Ole Miss political science department, or whatever, will probably hold out until the sun explodes.

I just want to do what's possible to help equality happen until the opportunity costs balance out. Trying to stamp anything out completely rarely ends well.

They've certainly given themselves the indelible reputation of being a crazed disruptive mob. And that impression being limited to the right seems like wishful thinking.

It seems pretty pointless to continue talking to monsters, so having a discussion about how it's clear that your opponent is a monster makes no logical brain sense. I guess that anyone who can wrap their minds around that, should also have the ability to mutually stipulate monsterhood and drop the subject.

Given the risks involved it is always better to err on the side of caution and help refugees in situ and send them home when you can rather than potentially cause an ethnic conflict within your own borders.
