I would say that it probably would crossing a line, unless such language was regular. The safe bet is that it would be that it would be perceived much more dangerously if genders were reversed. Although, if it is an irregular comment and not usual, rather than do something like go to HR it would be up to the individual, you, to tell her if it made you feel uncomfortable.

There are still rather odd double standards in society where guys are expected to like certain aggressive language. Just an aspect of toxic masculinity.

Ho isn't slang for whore. It's just whore pronounced with an AAVE accent. Non-rhotic accents drop rs so a word like whore comes out closer to hau or hoe.

Anne Soukhanov, U.S. editor of the Encarta Webster’s Dictionary disagrees with you.
As does Oxford dictionary
I have seen it spelled "hoe" also

I'm sure the Oxford Dictionary is intimately familiar every dialect of vernacular English spoken in America.

Treating it as a distinct word when it's a dialectical variation shows that they don't quite get it. It's like saying that buttah and budder are separate words from butter even though they refer to the same thing and the former examples are just how some dialects of English pronounce it.

Whore is still whore in non rhotic dialects. And even it originally were a local dialect variant it's now universal global slang. In fact I am amazed that League Girl isnt aware that every male rapper HAS to be flimed for MTV in his crib in his hot tub surrounded by "b*****s and hos". How she is lucky enough to escape hearing about "b*****s and hos" in pop music I dont know. But she is lucky.

That could have fallen under sexual harassment, reverse the genders. But sadly sexual harassment isn't taken seriously when it happens to a guy.

Usually if it's within an office party then what is said at an office party stays in the office. Her intention was to probably crack (What she thought) was a light hearted joke and you wouldn't take it seriously.

However I do think she was getting close to harassment and certainly if the tables were turned and it was a male saying this then he would find himself swiftly disciplined and possibly facing charges.

Yeah because I took it as a joke, and didn't think anything of it. But then later on, I thought this is quite the double standard. But why are men able to take those things as jokes more, where as women might get more offended?

There exists a sexual power differential between males and females. Women want equal rights but many women don't realise that they also cross the line and wouldn't want men coming up to them saying the things they say to men.

Do women have more fear of men saying these things or are more sensitive compared to men, even if the men mean it as banter?

Well whoring should not be a crime...like idk what is wrong with it. I wouldn't want to do it, but also seems a legit service. Like idk I see a lot of like lonely guys post on forums and sometimes I can't help thinking if they could get a prostitute it might help that. But the problem is, such things are so stigmatized in american society, or outright illegal but like I don't see what is wrong with it. Like why shouldn't prostitution be a legal service?

Men also call women whores just because they hate women and they referring to women having sex. But men have sex too and I never heard a name for them for those who have sex with women. But if a woman does it, she is a whore here and I am not talking about prostitution. Why is a woman w whore when she sleeps with a guy but a man is not when he sleep with a woman?

I know that, I just think it is a little silly.......I just don't see what is wrong with people providing sex services. Like why should that be controversial people like to have sex so if someone is comfortable selling sex why shouldn't they be able to.

Well my women friends will call men 'manwhores' when they are frustrated with men. Doesn't it all even out?

Yes, and if you try to put it on theirs, that's "cancel culture."

Perhaps, but I guess I am arguing it should not be a negative term....like why does it matter if a person is a whore? lol aren't they providing a service?

Not withstanding your ignorance about hip-hop, it's still just imitating an accent.

If a man was to say how he thought a woman would feel after somebody f**cked her brains out it would send a message that what he was imagining himself in the same position which would be creepy and rapey.
