Tories are saying they might not have done as badly as the polls said because turn out has been unusually high.

Sure, but it could also be everyone turning out to give them the kicking they deserved after Johnson that they denied us, then the one they really deserved after Truss that they denied us and finally the one they deserve for Sunak.

My Mum and I went to vote about 1530hrs and there was no one there but us. They said they had had about 100 people turn up to vote so far (The time when I asked) so that it was about a quarter of the number of people that live in the area.

^I think they were just trying to get their vote out in case Tory-lovers are thinking it's not worth bothering.

Don't know but Tory candidates rarely get elected in Wales anyway. Wales tends to be either Labour or Plaid and Labour tend to be rather corrupt as parties go and Plaid are not that much better! Not saying all Labour or Plaid are corrupt by any means but where there are politically monopolized areas, it does mean that members (Councillors etc) often take advantage.

Figure most people who see the Tories and Reform as closer to the NSDAP.

Did ammend it a bit... But I do wonder if different areas politics are different?

We might just be looking at it from different angles. I'm just looking from a basic left/right perspective.

^ I think the first comment to the video got it about right: Anyone stupid enough to fall for it shouldn't be voting anyway.

The rest of the comments... Oh dear.

Election was a bit of a mockery of democracy. Liberal Democrats get ten times as many seats with less votes than Reform.

^There's going to be a lot made of that and rightly so.

I don't like Reform but you can't carp on about unrepresentative democracy when the Tories govern on 40-odd percent and then be quiet when it works in your favour.

Labour won fewer votes nationally than Corbyn did in 2017 and 2019 and got this landslide.

Something is wrong and it's not a mystery what it is.

34% isn't much of a mandate to govern, despite the huge majority.
